I have engaged Bushways Safaris on three different occasions and am anxiously awaiting 2019 to go again. This adventure never gets old and seems not to repeat itself. The guides are knowledgeable in all of the aspects of the adventure, flora, fauna and exceedingly proficient in bird identification. This is the best of the best! I have extensive blogs reviewing my trips and revisit there often, from my chair.

We spend 6 nights and 7 days from MAun to Kasane, sleeping in campsites in the NAtional PArks and Game Reserves (Moremi, Sabuti, Chobe). Outstanding organization, excellent team of people preparing your meals 8fresh bread every day!), tour tents. The guide, SOx, he does not work any more with Bush ways , but from time to time, he act as a guide for Bushways. Amazing guide. It is not possible to have somebody better.

A unique and wonderful experience through Khwai, Moremi, Savute and Chobe area. 6 days of full serviced safari. My husband and me we were in honeymoon. We were lucky and had a group of 6, the group was amazing as well as out guide Joel and all the staff.

It’s a camping site built in the middle of savana so for sure you have to be flexible and like adventures to like and appreciate this kind of experience but it really worth!

During day-safari we met Lions, Leopard, Cheetah, Wild dogs and of course Elephants, Hyppo, Zebras and all the rest. Moreover we saw a lot of beautiful and colourful birds!

Safari experience is not really relaxing but this trip was really amazing! I’ll suggest it to anybody that is interested in a real experience in the nature! The organization was perfect!

My husband and myself have just arrived from the Fish Eagle safari with Bush Ways (from 23/10 to 2/11/2019). We really spent a wonderful time, everything was well organized, the Bush Ways team amazing : our guide Mike made us dream and encounter a great number of wild animals (around 40 lions, 3 leopards, many many elephants, buffalos, antilopes, giraffes, "pyjama donkeys"...), and we could see some of them very close, but always respecting our security ; Obi, an incredible cook, preparing delicious dishes with few means ; Lorato, our nice translator ; all of them always available for us, and responding to our various requests.
Thanks a lot to the three of them.

Our six-day camping trip in Khwai, Savuti and Chobe was amazing. The driver/guides have an incredible knowledge of animal and bird-life and are so interesting to talk to. Their driving skills through lashing rain and massive puddles was admirable! The cooks managed to produce varied and delicious meals from the trailer/kitchen, which we ate either at camp in the evenings, or roadside when we were travelling from one camp to the other. At all times we felt safe and well-looked after. All in all, an incredible experience, due not only to the abundance of wildlife we were lucky enough to see, but also to the great team that accompanied us.

Two senior couples from Canada went on the one week "Buffalo Safari" starting in Maun and ending up in Livingstone. This safari was certainly the highlight of our month in Botswana, Zambia and South Africa.

The Bush Ways representative in Gabarone was very helpful and answered all our questions promptly by email during the planning phase.

Our guide Robson and his assistant K.P. did everything possible to make our safari a memorable one. Their professionalism, expertise and camaraderie made the safari a once in a lifetime experience. The amazing wildlife sightings, well organized camping arrangements and enjoyable bush meals were even better than we could have hoped for. There were two very long days of driving to get from one area to another, but occasional wildlife sightings helped to keep up our enthusiasm.

The safari was semi-participation tenting at sites within the Okavanga Delta, Moremi and Chobe. This trip is not for those who wish to be pampered! You are sleeping on mats on the ground, using pit latrines and eating meals cooked over the open fire. However, you are "in the bush" with all the benefits of seeing and hearing iconic wildlife species at close range. These are truly "wild" animals rather than the fenced "game preserve" animals seen in many of the South African game parks.

Our group of ten included six other visitors from Germany and we had a great time together.

The cost of the safari was reasonable, given all the logistical considerations. I would recommend Bush Ways to anyone wishing to have a real safari on a tight budget. You will never forget the experience.

Dear Phil, we are absolutely delighted to read this awesome feedback. It is so thrilling to hear that this part was the absolute highlight of your trip through the south of Africa. It is so fantastic that Robson and KP made this trip a once in a lifetime experience for you, that's exactly what we want our guest to experience! It is always our aim to see people having a great time with all the other travellers. It makes it even more special to being able to share it with these people afterwards. We hope that we can welcome you back some day in the future and we will always keep one tent for you ready ;) Thanks again the entire Bush Ways Team

What a spectacular safari we had! We went on the semi-participatory Fish Eagle Safari in June 2017 (the reason I'm only now writing a review is because I couldn't find the right Bush Ways in trip advisor after we returned last year so although the date appears as June 2018, that's because it won't let me select June 2017) starting in the Okavango Delta, continuing through Moremi and Chobe and concluding at Victoria Falls in Zambia. We went to our Okavango Delta campsite via mokoros (a type of flatboat/canoe) which were propelled by polers. We camped out in the bush throughout our 11 day safari and spent our evenings listening to the sounds of lions, hyenas and other unidentified animals. All our meals were prepared over a campfire and were delicious and satisfying. There was always a pot of water at the ready for rooibos tea and fresh bread was baked by our chef Cheeko every day. Our guide OT was excellent. He was very informative, knowledgeable and instructed us on the proper conduct ie. when to stand and when to remain seated. He was adventurous but always prudent about our safety and well being. We had spectacular animal sitings and OT could pick out the well camouflaged cheetahs and leopard that we might otherwise have missed. And he could identify every animal we saw. I would highly recommend Bush Ways for a wonderful camping safari. They are terrific!

Dear Candace, thank you very much for your amazing feedback and your kind words. We have just recently set up the account for our safaris here, this is why you can't back date it to last year. But it is still awesome to see that you still think of your trip and that you were so happy with our team OT and Chicco. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your experience to live in the African bush for 11 days so much and we hope that we can maybe welcome you back some day in the future. There is still more to see and to discover out there in Botswana. Thanks again and best regards, the entire Bush Ways team

I went on the trip with lodging, most trips are camping; excellent opportunity to see all types of wildlife and meet great people. Small group, up-close-and-personal contact with nature. Guides, cooks and helpers all fabulous, go the extra mile to find animals, provide comforts, and adjust routines to fit group needs. There is nothing else in the world like the Okovango delta; I've been to South Luangwa, Serengeti, Masai Mara, Ngorogoro, this was totally different.

This was recommended (and booked) through DriveBotswana. I was hesitant to do the mobile safari due to the nature of being with other unknown guests (I was traveling solo) for such a long period. It turns out I had nothing to fear as the group I was with were a great group of international folks (mostly European). We had many great laughs hanging out together and seeing all of the wild life. You can read what JulieBullock as she was in our group and all she said is true. The only thing I was disappointed by, is that we didn't see the wild dogs on the Fish Eagle Safari. No fault of Bush Ways, they just weren't around when we passed through each area. For Animals, tons of Elephants, Giraffe, Hippo and many Lions. No Cheetah sightings, but a couple of Leopards. Many of the more common hoofed mammals. As Julie mentioned the Guide (Shabba) was excellent and kept everyone moving. The chef (Aaron) was excellent as well!

Our family of four have just returned from our first mobile safari and what a wonderful experience it proved to be. Delicious food all cooked on the wood fire, game reserves with so many beautiful birds and animals and an amazing group of 12 people that we shared our adventure with. There were so many laughs around the campfire in the evening as we listened to the sounds of the animals in the bush.

This is very much a hands on safari, but it is so authentic. We have previously stayed in safari lodges and my two grown up sons were sceptical about how it would be, but they absolutely loved it! Highlights for us, were the mokoro rides rides along the Okavango Delta and the 9 polers who stayed with us for 2 days on the island, the amazing sunsets and coming home from an evening game drive and eating together by the camp fire under the stars. The finale, was the magnificent Victorian Falls - breath taking!

From the beauty of the amazing dawn chorus to the chirruping of the reed frogs that is almost deafening in the evenings, you will be amazed at how little you need in life to be truly happy! Our sincere thanks to our guide, Shabba and chef, Aaron who went out of their way to make sure that we were always happy and that our needs were met. Shabba is a marvel - guide, mechanic, excellent communicator, warm and funny. Our shower in Moremi was within a tree stump that was so knarled and twisted it could have been in Harry Potter - I could not wait to try it out - some of us even had baboons watching as we washed away the dust of the day?

Note: you will need to bring lots of cash with you, preferably US dollars as almost everything is a cash only basis - especially in the Zimbabwe for visas, entry to the falls etc. The roads are bumpy and some of the journeys long, but continual game viewing from the vehicle helps to pass the time.
