We booked the Fish Eagle Safari, a semi-participation camping safari. Our guide Mogale was incredible - he was incredibly knowledgeable and experienced. He was also a very good driver and we always felt safe. He brought us to sightings we never dreamed of; cheetahs, lepards, 37 lions (two girls kept count), painted dogs etc. The chef KP was excellent - every day he produced delicious food. There was always tea and coffee availble during the day and some rusks to go with it. Both Mogale and KP were always available for us and always with a smile. The trip with them exceeded all our expectations.

Our Safari with Bushways was fabulous. We did Fish Eagle Safari and were astonished with the amount of wildlife we encountered.
Our guides Paul and KK were friendly, professional and both very good at their jobs. They both went above and beyond to make sure we had a fabulous, safe experience.
Paul's driving, knowledge, wildlife spotting and tracking was extraodinary.
KK's cooking was delicious and he was a good wildlife spotter too.
Would highly recommend this Safari.

Clothing
Proper attire is very important. Tips for travellers that join safaris during the winter months, bring winter cloths with you: Gloves, hat, scarves, items that can be worn in layers. Safari starts at approximately 5:30 AM, no windows or even windshield to allow better visibility but it means wind chill and lower temperature. It might be 3 Celsius to 8C at this time of the year going up to 25C to 28C around lunchtime, dropping again after sunset. Shoes, hiking shows leather preferable, tennis shoes allow sand and earth to get through.
We are very happy with Degree, his knowledge of wild life, in particular birds. He is very attentive
Dune Camp, but it might not be worthwhile driving a total of 8 hours to visit a private reserve. It is besides Kalahari Reserve, but we never had the opportunity to visit the actual reserve. Animals that we saw in Dune Camp are in most of the other government reserves. We wonder if it is actually ethical to support private reserves that prevent free movement of animals in some cases causing their death due to thousand of kilometers with high electrical fences.
In summary we would recommend dropping Camp/Lodge Dune Camp and those two days. There are two options, to make the safari shorter or to extend the days in the other two sites in particular Khwai or Moremi area. Instead of driving all the way from Maun to Khwai to add the flight as part of the package, picking up guests directly in that location. Chobe is too busy compared to Moremi. If the purpose is selling exclusivity Khwai/Moremi is the answer.

We had an amazing time on the fully assisted mobile camping trip from Maun to Kasane covering Khwai, Savute and Chobe Riverfront parks finishing off with a great boat trip on the Chobe River. We were lead by Degree who was a very knowledgeable, friendly, polite, funny and helpful guide. He ensured we were able to see maximum sightings and always drove in a safe manner. The vehicle was spacious and comfortable too with each of us guests (6 n total) getting a “window” seat which allowed us to get fantastic photos. We saw more animals than anticipated with many sightings thanks to Degree of lions, leopards, elephants, hippos, giraffes and zebra’s plus plenty more. Our camp assistants and chefs were fantastic. They always had everything at camp ready and waiting for us including warm water for our showers and we found the tents and raised beds very comfortable. The meals were also very very good and tasty. We had plenty of drinks which we all enjoyed around the campfire at night under the stars. Was truely a magical experience that we could not fault.

2 p., May 2024, Botswana from Maun to Kasane. Bush Ways camping safari was sensational. An exceptional team with a very experienced multilingual guide and two highly professional assistants left nothing to be desired. The heartfelt warmth and humor will remain in our memories. We felt safe and in good hands every second.

I was going with that operator to the central Kalahari. This tour operator is charging High prices for a low standart.
The space in the own constructed car is much to small, If you are ober 190 cm.
But when I was asking for that everything was well.
Just imagine you will seat sometimes mote then 10 hours a day.
The German translater, we go, wa poor in German and did nothing the whole day, until it came to food, then she was the first at the buffet.
She hates camping and National Park, so why a tour operator is sending somebody lime that tona camping safari
The guide and driver named Rex , was finding trecks but not following them.
My tent was leaking, so I think for that pricing you should prepare the equipment better.
The food was okay and in the end the best of that trip.
I was happy to leave!

I have just returned from the fantastic holiday in Botswana with BushWays Safari and I can only recommend this excellent agency! I visited the parks of the region accompanied by Bonny and Gabriel who made this experience unforgettable thanks to their support, their explanations about the animals, kindness and patience that made them great guides! Really super recommended!

We went on the 17 day camping participation Leopard Safari from the Kalahari through the Okavango Delta, Moremi, Chobe to Victoria Falls. We highly recommend this trip for the complete immersion into the bush and the total wildlife experience. We saw 3 leopards, wild dogs, elephants, giraffe, antelope, aardvark, honey badger, lion, hippo, countless birds, etc, etc. The experience of lying in your tent at night listening to the bush sounds is wonderful. This is an affordable safari, you join in with the daily tasks but you are very well looked after. But you must like camping and not mind being sweaty and dusty. Rex was a knowledgeable, safe and fun guide-driver. KP was a brilliant cook and also very ready to answer our questions and show us things. They were both very kind. We recommend Bushways.

Easily the best safari we have been on. Camped in some amazing environments and Moscow and KD were fantastic guides. The wildlife was incredible - loads of elephants and lions, and 5 Leopards over 2 weeks. We were even lucky enough to see wild dogs hunting. We had an incident on the mokoros where we lost our cameras, but the guide was kind enough to lend us his for the trip, and Bushways helped with resolving the issue successfully once the trip finished. Can't recommend them highly enough. If you're going to Botswana, go with Bushways.

Waking up from a nap with a huge elephant behind your tent: emotion guaranteed
Stay from April 22 to May 5 from Maun to Victoria Falls via the Okavango, Moreni, Savuti reserves then the Chobe park and finally Victoria Falls.
It is indeed a safari: up at 5:30 a.m. each morning, meal over a wood fire and sleeping in a tent in the bush. Please note, not suitable for children under 12 years old.
Thanks to Moscow our guide, experience and constant desire to share his knowledge, and to “kd” super cook.
The stay was breathtaking with among others: 5 leopards, 10 lions and 9 lionesses, 6 wild dogs for the rarest.
