We specialize in comprehensive and tailormade African safaris in Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, South Africa, Mozambique, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda,Tanzania, Malawi and Ethiopia. For the more active traveler who wants more than just to discover Africa just from the back of a Jeep, we also offer guided mobile, kayak, horse riding, walking, fishing, and specialist photographic safaris lead by highly experienced photographic guides. Africa has long been a continent attracting the adventurous traveler, for its vast open spaces & unspoiled wilderness. Africa is full of surprises with its ever-changing landscapes, seasonal transformations, and diverse cultures. We have travelled extensively across this fascinating continent and pride ourselves to call it our home. I enjoyed every single moment in Botswana, from the tour preparation with Ms Christelle, the land and air transportation, to the accommodation at Old House in Kasane and O Bona Moremi in Okavango Delta, and to the game drives and river cruise. Every single person I met has made my first trip to Botswana perfect.
Regardless the long grass in this late summer, my game drivers were professionally able to spot many wild games, including a group of healthy wild dogs ! Fantastic !

After only one email & phone call to Mark Hathaway, a comprehensive itinerary which fulfilled our criteria was compiled for us. (only some minor changes were made at our request.) After this, Mark kept us up to date & fully informed until our departure.
Our entire package of 18 days in the Serengeti, Victoria Falls, Chobe & Okavango Delta was faultless. Gondwana Tours & Safaris did a top class job. All accommodation, guides/trackers, connections & follow-up was second to none.
My wife & I have travelled extensively over many years, and we are not exaggerating in saying this experience was "top of the tree".
Do yourself a favour and use GT&S, you'll be glad you did.

Jen from Gondwana Tours and Safaris organized our trip to Vic Falls and Safaris in Botswana and everything was absolutely perfect!!!! We had a wonderful time in beautiful places with amazing service!!!

The entire process of working with you was characterized by your professionalism, responsiveness, deep knowledge and expertise about the locations, solution-provision etc. We never felt left alone, instead you turned around numerous questions/suggestions we had in a very short time frame. This was truly magnificent, given the fact that the entire process lasted some 18 months, nonetheleast because of the trouble Covid gave us in respect of postponement, uncertainties around our ability to travel etc etc.
So all in all, an excellent service provided by you. We are more than happy to recommend you and Gondwana anytime. Many thanks Jen for your great work with us.

I can highly recommend Gondwana Tours, who organised a 12 day safari for our family of 4. It was rebooked 3 times due to Covid, with different travellers, different lodges, different times of year. Gondwana’s professionalism and knowledge were outstanding, nothing was too much trouble and all flights, transfers and lodges were amazing. As a family we particularly loved Pangolin Photography Safari lodge in Chobe. We were photography novices but have come away with amazing photos and a new love of photography. So much that we will rebook Pangolin for a 5 day stay in 2 years time. We travelled over Christmas and loved that the vegetation was green and lush with so many animal babies having been born. Wd have been on safari in Kenya annd Tanzania in the past annd this was our favourite. All on all an amazing holiday.

I first worked with Christelle in the fall of 2019 to schedule my first trip to Botswana. That trip was delayed due to COVID until we were able to finally take it in November 2022. Christelle worked tirelessly with me through all the changes and rescheduling, questions and uncertainties, price increases, camp closures, and fuel surcharges. In the end we were booked two nights at Setari Camp and three nights at O Bona Moremi Camp, with three flights and a night on each end in Maun. The whole trip was wonderful - I felt as if the camps were chosen just for us! Christelle advised me on the length of time, which turned out to be just perfect, and selected camps that would give us the best of the water and land excursions. Maybe it was coincidence, but we wanted to seek out birds, and our guide at O Bona Moremi was a trained birder; a perfect match. Thank you to Christelle and Gondwana Tours for making the trip of a lifetime so very, very special!

We were looking to travel to Botswana for our 20th wedding anniversary. Although we have travelled to Africa many times, it was our first visit to Botswana and as we don't know our way around we decided to go with a company that specializes in travel here. A search on Google brought up this company, and after contacting them and several different companies Gondwana came out the best. We were contacted by Mark Hathaway who asked us lots of questions on our interests, what type of holiday we wanted and our budget . he went away and came back we some suggestions, which he happily adapted to meet our requirements. He kept in contact with us throughout the year until our trip and answered any questions we had. Just before our trip we were sent a detailed itineary and full information about each camp. We were met by a Gondwana representative at Maun airport who made sue we completed all the necessary forms and escorted us to the bush airline desk. All of the flights had been booked for the whole of our trip and all were on time , and all of our camp transfers worked perfectly too. We were even met back at the airport before our flight home and asked for feedback on our trip. Mark even helped organize with Splash camp a lovely suprize anniversary celebration for us . Mark made the perfect once in a lifetime trip for us , and would highly recommend him and his company for a stress free trip

Gondwana organised a fantastic honeymoon for us in Botswana and Victoria Falls. We would highly recommend them to anyone planning a trip in the region. We stayed 2 nights in Vic Falls, 2 nights in Chobe and 2 nights in the Okavango. The accommodation that Gondwana arranged was perfect and all of our transfers went very smoothly. The overall cost was a lot lower than quotes that we received from other tour operators for similar itineraries. Many thanks to Christelle at Gondwana for all her recommendations and for organising such a memorable trip for us!

This was my 2nd trip organized by Mark Hathaway at Gondwana Tours. Mark is great to work with to design a custom trip. Our trip was pretty complicated with many border crossings, commercial flights, bush flights, resorts/camps and excursions. Each and every point of contact was on time, professional and gave us a great piece of mind. Our trip was 18 days and started in JoBurg...went to VF (and to Devils Pool in Zambia)....to 3 different camps in the Okavango Delta...to Rwanda and cross to Uganda to hike to see the mountain gorillas.
I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Mark and Gondwana Tours..

Pls send a quote for a12 day exclusive safari package covering the key reserves and a visit to victoria falls. 6 to 7 pax. Must be reasonably priced with comfortable accommodation and all meals buffet!
