Impossibly blue. Water is so clear. Worthwhile seeing this natural beauty. All the entrance fees start adding up (I think we paid cash VT 1,000 each and maybe half price for the teens) but it's a good experience. We especially liked it as we were the only ones there (it was about 11am). Water was cool but not unpleasant in June. Lots of fish! We didn't use any of the facilities and had driven there ourselves by car. We chose to spend about an hour here but you could easily have spent longer and enjoyed a picnic etc.

Wow wow wow!! Crystal clear water with beautiful fish swimming everywhere. By far the best of the three blue holes in terms of water clarity. Absolutely one of the prettiest places in the world!!

Definetly the best blue hole in Santo, in my opinion. It was quite cool, but refreshing. Saw lots of fish and water was clean. Has Natangora for sitting down underneath. Need to call first as gate is shut. Amenities require repairs.

This is just stunning!

If you are visiting Vanuatu, I personally think you MUST visit this beautiful natural blue hole!

We arranged our own private travel to the blue hole and luckily beat the crowd to the water hole. We arrived and had the whole place to ourselves for about 30minutes!

But then came the huge cruise ship tour! Before the cruise shop tour arrived, we found the place so peaceful and the water so was pristine and peaceful but as soon as everyone arrived and jumped into the hole, the lake became murky from all the swimmers and divers kicking off the bottoms and edges causes the dirt to stir up. Soon the blue hole became very brown, so just be aware if you're travelling in a large group like the cruise ship tours. The cruise ship tours are also extremely over-priced. It was about $79 for the 'blue hole tour' but all that includes is the travel there and entrance fee. We arranged our travel for about $35 to have a driver to ourselves for a whole day to take us wherever we wanted; between three of us that it a lot cheaper than $79 each.

Entrance was only $5 but on arrival we were greeted with free drinking coconuts, coconut and chocolate cake and bananas. That alone was so worth the entrance fee!

The blue hole is soooooo incredibly blue! JUST BLUE BLUE BLUE!
If you're not from the cruise ship tours, try to visit on a non-cruise ship day so you are more likely to have the place to yourself :)

BUT SO WORTH IT!

Whilst cruising the south pacific we docked at Luganville and went on a tour to various points of interest and whilst everywhere was beautiful and had that true island paradise feel, nothing compared to arriving at the Nanda Blue Hole in the middle of nowhere amongst the jungle foliage. I don't think I have ever seen such a magnificent blue, which I was told is created by the minerals in the water. It was a really hot day close to 40 degrees so a swim in this gorgeous setting was a must. It is pure fresh water, you could actually drink it if you felt so inclined. Initially icy when you first venture in as it's is really deep apparently, possibly bottomless they say and was so invigorating and refreshing floating around under the boughs of foliage, giving it all a secluded arbour feel. You might even see some of the fish which inhabit the blue hole while swimming. Want more excitement, well, some clever soul has built a ladder up a really, really tall tree on the edge of the water hole which you can climb up to it's daring heights then swing out on ropes to the middle of the hole. There was no shortage of such daredevils in our party(not yours truly) but it was such fun to watch. I would highly recommend if you are on this island find the time to partake of this experience. I am over 60yrs so any age can access the site so just do it.

This was one of 3 blue holes we visited in one day as part of a tour. This was one of the best with lots of fish which were visible from the deck but would also swim fairly close to you while snorkelling. The photos don't do these blue holes justice as the colour is absolutely stunning and the water is crystal clear (but cold). You can see right to the bottom even though the water is very deep. The location is very picturesque and is a wonderful way to relax for an hour or so.

Went to this area with local friends, just in front ( meters). Swim to come close up to hole edge to speak with somebody and ask for the road to enter to reach their premises. A woman sack out me and swear to me. Even I explain I was asking for explanation of where was their entrance to come next time with some friends from overseas, she became more that unfriendly.

I have travelled around the world on my own, even to several challenging countries and I had never got robbed until I arrived to Nanda Blue Hole. We got there and luckily there was not anybody except for the guy that collects the payment. First we checked the area and it was so beautiful that we decided to pay the entrance. In Vanuatu you have to pay for using beaches, blue holes, see bays, etc. We paid the guy and he sat next to our backpack (all zips were closed), my partner went for a swim and I went to get change. When I got out the toilet the guy was not there as apparently he had gone for his break lunch. Our backpack was simply on a table and we could easily see it. When we left and my partner took the wallet out of the backpack to put it in his jean´s pocket, he had the feeling that it was thinner. He opened it and there were missing 16,000 VUV, that is AUD$200. We were so upset, me especially as it was my birthday!!! He ruined the amazing experience we just had in Nanda Blue Hole :-( As in Espiritu Santo there are not any ATMs, but in Luganville, and you can't pay with credit card anywhere, we had to drive to all the way down to Luganville so we could pay where we were staying. Returning from Luganville I decided to stop at Nanda Blue Hole to report what had happened. The guy was there and we explained the situation. He apologised and he said that sometimes children come from the village and they might have taken our money. I explained him that it was impossible as we did not see anybody at all and it was very strange that only the money was missing but not the whole backup. Clearly he had seen where my partner had put the wallet after paying him, and robbed us when my partner jumped into the water and I went to get changed. Then he disappeared quickly to his "lunch break" but the truth is that we did not have any proof. When we arrived to our bungalows, at Towoc beach, Jannet, the owner, recommend us to report the robbery in Tripadvisor as they gather annually to discuss and comment facts related with tourism and tourists. She also informed us that the blue holes' carers task is being there with you at all times not only to charge you for the entrance fee, but to look after the visitors.

The colour of the water and the clarity is amazing. Not a great variety of fish but enough to give you something to do in the water. It's freshwater here.

We hired a bus in Vila for the day to show us what Vanuatu had to offer, and this place was one of the stops. The water is as blue as the photo suggests. We spent an hour swimming in this beautiful area, could of spent alot longer but had other places to be. Well worth the drive
