We were given detailed instructions on how to see the land bridge, and even then got lost! There are no sign posts or indications on how to get there. The track to the coast is overgrown on both sides as well as underneath the tyre markings. It is not a road!
The other reviewers are absolutely spot on when they say you need a four wheel drive or a guide. HOWEVER, the scenery of the coast is absolutely spectacular once you get there. Finding the spot to see underneath the land bridge to the ocean is difficult and a little dangerous. The grass was overgrown to above head height and we were worried you could really just fall through it to the crashing ocean below if you weren't careful. Definitely not for children. HOWEVER, once we found a little spot we could see through, the view was amazing! It's very different to anything I've seen before. It just needs better signage all round.

It is a pity the road to this is not better as it is an amazing sight. Be warned the road is potholed and we needed to walk the last quarter of the van couldn't make it any further without getting bogged. As this is seldom visited you need to be very careful near the edges as it could collapse without warning and would result it certain death as it is a very long way to the bottom. Spectacular and worth the trip to see it.

Luckily we were taken here during our island tour from Friends Cafe (with Collin as our guide) because we probably wouldn't have found it on our own, down an unmarked dirt road, and then walking on narrow tracks through tall grass. Sorry I can't give you good directions; maybe Google maps would help.
It is very isolated and tucked out of the way down a little incline, but the sound of the surf draws you, and the breezes there are so cooling. The views from the cliff over the ocean are quite expansive and include nearly the entire southern coast. You can see the spray from the blowholes from here!
This was one of our favorite stops on our island tour, second only to the blowholes.

Sooo here’s the TLDR - we ended up having to call Tongan emergency services to pull our car out of the mud.
The roads here are overgrown with plants and can be very wet and muddy. I wouldn’t recommend going down here unless you are in a car made for off-roading. The view of the coast and of the land bridge are super nice , but probably not worth being covered in mud and having to waste 7 firefighters’ days to save you from you dumb decision and inability to drive!

Surrounded by incredible beauty it's very rare I come across something like this. One of the most beautiful places I have ever seen in the world.
The water there is incredible, many different colours and the rock formations are picturesque

A natural phenomenon that is definitely worth making the fort to visit. It can be hard to find even if you are within a few metres of the bridge and cave/crater. We were on a guided tour so we had no problem, but we spoke to someone who went without a guide a couple of days previously and could not find it. If going without a guide, get very detailed instructions.

The road was so terrible, we only made it to the Overlook. Imagine continually scraping the bottom of your car on a narrow, muddy, rocky pig path for 20 minutes. The road was only wide enough for one car, so we had to drive into the sticker bushes on the side to let cars pass to exit. It was a great view, but I never would have gone there if I'd known how bad the road was to the Overlook. The road to the Bridge was off to the side and looked worse, so that was a no go.

This large landmark is not signposted so can be difficult to find even though it is on the tourist map. At the intersection between Hala Liku & Hala Hufangalupe, turn onto the dirt road towards the coast and follow for approx 200m. The bridge is on your left just before the cliff and is so large that you can drive over it.

This is such a beautiful and amazing location. Great sunsets. Great place for photos. Great place for a picnic.
Can be dangerous so be careful especially with Children. There are no safety rails so common sense and caution must prevail.
The nearby beach is the best in Tongatapu.
Enjoy.
Este lugar es sumo hermosa.
