Very interesting site with tombs carved out of volcanic rock. Many of the tombs have the remains in place. Site just outside of the town and easily reached.

The fossilized coral formations were used as burial places by an ancient civilization. The necropolis is situated on a hill with great views of the surrounding countryside.

its a nice place very well maintained with a small museum that show you some history from the pre incas with skull deforming techniques and this mummies. worth it
