Can we say it's a wonder of nature :) It's an area untouched by human hands. The terrain is quite windy and high. There are many rocks and natural formations originating from volcanoes. I think it is an enjoyable place to visit.

Took a private tour out here with a safe car and driver. (Arranged by La Paz on Foot). I thought I had long adjusted to the altitude but I could certainly feel it here. I did not need to make use of the Oxygen we had with us I just took it very easy for the day. Be sure you wear a hat and lots of sunscreen factor 50 or higher you you might risk getting burnt. Bring warm clothing and dress in layers. I am a baby boomer so I had them but me up at Hotel Takya del desierto where there is some heat in the evening and in the mornings, where you don't have to bring a sleeping bag and the beds are comfortable with lots of covers. Be prepared for long hours of driving.

This is a really naturally wild and beautiful area. It is located close to the Chilean border, beside the Eduardo Avaroa national reserve. It is a truly rough place, difficult to drive, windy, at very high altitude - still, well worth a visit. The rock formations and views, including volcanoes, are stunning.

This is a magical part of the upper Bolivian planes
Colors, lights, stones and shape of mountains make for the place look surreal, some of the features that may have been created by Dali's imagination
The only negative is that most of the features are inaccesible except for the camera or too far to get to except through the lens
It makes one desire have more time to spend there

This view is amazing. It's like proof of how unique the world is. You can buy a machine and document it. Or you can watch it to your heart's content and save it in your memory.

Absolutely fantastic scenery for mile after mile, occassionally no actual road, choose your path. Many volcanoes on different sides, snowcapped when we were there, wonderful sights. Tall sand dunes of different shades of brown, yellow etc. Otherworldly, empty, few cars encountered just clean cold air at 4000 metres until the warm afternoon sun.
