We booked the 3 day standard plus tour with transfer to San Pedro de Atacama through Kanoo tours in La Paz (an agent for Al Extremo tours). It was brilliant! Our Spanish speaking guide/driver, Eber, was friendly and informative, our mixed group (British and Bolivian) all communicated the best way we could (which was really fun, especially on the last... We booked the 2 nights 3 days tour from San Pedro de Atacama to Uyuni with Estrella del Sur and were very happy with them, no issues with the driver (Jaime was great) or the 4x4, also when we arrived at Uyuni, we were able to store our bags at their office while we waited for the night bus to... Last week my friend and I travelled through the Salar De Uyuni with Quechua Connections. We decided to go with them because if the good tripadvisor recommendations and the fact it is a local, family run business. I am so pleased we choose them! Diony our driver/cook/guide/photographer was excellent. A very conscientious driver (we have heard horror stories of drivers... More

We had read lot of scathing reviews of tour companies doing the 3 day salt flat tour, but Cordillera were fantastic. The guide spoke no English but we were able to understand through a couple of us speaking basic Spanish. The food was far better than we expected, and the vehicles were good save for one flat tyre (to be... More

I had an incredible time in the Salt Flats and recommend it to everyone. That being said, I booked with San Juan Tours on the main street selling tours in Uyuni because the woman at the desk sold us an incredible trip for a mid-ranged price (750 Bolivianos with transfer to San Pedro de Atacama, Chile). When we arrived in... More

The 3 days tour in the salar is an amazing experience! The place is gorgeous and going through those landscape was an incredible experience. However the tricky part is to understand which company going with once in Uyuni. I took Empexsa and the experience was good only thanks to the other persons in the tour. I first had a bad... More

The Salar de Uyuni is the single greatest place I have ever been to in my life. The scenery, animals, and ruggedness were basically a perfect combination and the highlight of my tour of South America. If you're into astronomy and looking at the stars, this is possibly the most impressive and amazing place to see a starscape that you'll... More

We travelled from San Pedro to Uyuni using Corillera Traveller on a 2 night / 3 day tour. The trip itself was spectacular and Cordillera provided a great service. Our guide, Clemente, was a very safe driver and we would highly recommend Cordillera. One downer was that we got bed bugs from the "salt hotel" on the second night. Check... More

Amazing place!! Everything is spectacular at the Salar, nothing you have seen before. Perfect place to relax and disconnect. Tours get you to the most important places, and include food and -very basic- hotels. 2 days is enough to visit the Salar, but you'll need 3/4 if you also want to go to Laguna Colorada and Laguna Verde (~500 km... We all who go to the Salar love it, but lets be honest: It is a hard-to-take tour in one of the most isolated and uncivilized lands on Earth so my first advice is: Do not go to Uyuni if you cannot live without WIFI, stand very cold-hot weather, lack of elementary services (including sanitary ones) and if you are...
