About
We are a family winery and that defines our vitiviniculture. El Porvenir de Cafayate is the luxury of being able to think long-term. We believe in Cafayate, its potential, its people, its history and its culture. We feel a deep respect and love for our terroir and we want this to be reflected in our wines. We seek to become better and better each day, in search of an unprecedented, unique level of quality. We take the legacy of our ancestors and, following the entrepreneurial spirit, we add innovative ideas, seeking our own betterment.Cafayate is our terroir and the cradle of our labor, where we simply add the most important element: the family. In El Porvenir de Cafayate we have maintained a vision: to make exceptional wines in a sustainable manner. And with the passing of each harvest, we feel that this vision is realized more and more strongly, as we achieve honest, true wines that reflect their origin. We proudly represent the essence of Cafayate.

One of the best Bodegas in Cafayate with delicious wines both traditional and more modern. They're definitely the winemakers trying more modern European takes on wine. The tour is brilliant. Nini is a brilliant guide - very charismatic and helpful... And impressively, she can do the tour in English, Portuguese and Spanish! Don't miss it

Last Saturday when we were in Cafayate 5 of us visited a few bodegas to sample their wines. El Porvenir was by far the best. It is a bit pricier than the others we went to but so worth it. Adriana was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the wines she served us. She also gave us background on history etc. and was very engaged and answered all of our questions. As our Spanish leaves much to be desired, it was great that Adriana's English was very good .
Thank you for a great time and good wine.

We were so happy to find a bodega which offers a tour in English! The staff member Ninive is the one to give them, and she was SO friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks to her, we enjoyed our visit a ton. Informative tour, great tasting, and we even purchased a very special bottle to take home. We went to 3 other bodegas in Cafayate and this one was my favorite.
Fyi, it's straight in the town, therefore the vineyards are not on the site.

I would like to share my recent experience at Bodega El Porvenir, in Cafayate, during the gastronomic experience "Asado Bodeguero". Unfortunately, I cannot fail to express my disappointment with the service and the quality of the service provided.
We make the reservation in advance through the website, with an advance payment of 35 thousand pesos per person. We scheduled for 13h, however, due to the holiday period and other tours held in the morning, we arrived at 13h30. When we arrived, we were welcomed by a Brazilian employee, who did not provide us with clear explanations on what to expect from the experience.
The meal began with a glass of wine Torrontés and empanadas, which was within expectations. Then a simple salad of alpha and tomato was served. However, from that moment on, the experience began to disappoint us. The meats offered – strip roast, roast tap and chorizo – were extremely pasted, almost roasted, and in very small portions. Given that we were in family, with my wife and our 3-year-old son, we expected a more generous meal. When ordering meat at the juicy point, typical of the Argentine roast, I was informed by the employee that, due to our delay, all the meat had already been prepared and served, there was no more availability.
What made us even more strange was that, soon after this reply, the rooster and the two waitresses sat at the table next to ours and began to make their meal quietly. The situation transmitted the feeling of neglect, something we never experienced in other wineries in Argentina – whether in Salta, Mendoza or Patagonia – where we were always received with cordiality and hospitality, regardless of minor delays.
We understand that the schedule should be respected, but we expected a little more flexibility and empathy, especially in a pre-paid and tourism-oriented experience where small unexpected events can occur. I hope this report will contribute so that the cellar can improve the service to the public, ensuring that all visitors, regardless of specific circumstances, feel welcome and properly served.

I knew El Porvenir wines before and the tasting experience did not disappoint. The staff were very hospitable, friendly and very knowledgeable. I learned a lot about altitude wines and the Cafayate area. While I was initially focused on the Laborum Malbec and Cabernet, I was glad to learn about other red varietals suggested by the staff. I wish I planned in advance to include a tour and a meal experience. Definitely a place to come back and enjoy at leisure.

Bodega El Porvenir has a small quaint hotel just outside of town where we went for a private lunch parrilla style and wine tasting. It is such a beautiful and relaxing setting in their vineyards.
They prepared some awesome empanadas for us in the outdoor oven to start that we enjoyed with their Laborum Single Vineyard Torrontés white wine. This was followed by some grilled meats served with a nice tomato salad. With this course we had their Laborum Single Vineyard Malbec. Everything was excellent and such a wonderful way to spend a long relaxing lunch.

We arrived without reservation and joined the 10am tour with Pedro. He was very informative and enthusiastic and we had a very enjoyable hour. For $175 we had the 5 tasting tour and they were all delicious. We were particularly lucky to get one of the rarer ones as the wine master had been in the previous day and opened a bottle! We bought some to take home but sadly could not carry anymore.

We first enjoyed a wonderful lunch at their Bodega. The scenery was just amazing and beautiful! Food was great and kept on coming. Later in the afternoon we passed by there winery and we had a great tour from Pedro. He explained all about the history of the winery and the wine making process. We tasted some of the great wines made by El Porvenir. Thank you so much!

Cafayate is the center of Salta Province wine country. El porvenir is one of the leading wineries in town and produces a great selection of whites (Torrontes, Sauvingon Blanc, Blanc de Blancs) and reds (Malbec, Cabernet Suvignosm, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and several blends). The winery produces very good table wines and a higher level (and cost!) line of outsanding wines. Tasting at this winery was made very pleasnat because of the passion, knowledge and dedication of the person leading the tasting, Adriana.

Hi Lola, our winery is open to visits from Wednesday to Saturdays from 10 am to 1 pm and from 1 pm to 6 pm, and from Sunday to Monday from 10 am to 1 pm. At the winery you could choose between a tasting of 3 wines at $50 pesos and a tasting of 5 wines at $80 pesos. In addition to the visit and tasting at the winery, we offer the possibility to have lunch (and you could learn how to make empanadas before lunch) or a picnic in the vineyards.
The cost of lunch per person is $350 and the cost of the picnic $275. Everything is rated in argentina pesos and the lunch includes wines, dessert and coffee. Let us know if you would like to book a visit. Thanks for your interest!!
