The tour was very informative. The wine was decent. The technique that they use is interesting. The facility is not that large.

This was one of the only bodegas open on Saturday afternoon and had quite regular tours which was lucky for us.
The tour was short - 20 mins but the guide fitted a lot of info in. Very easy to fit in if you're in a hurry and you want to see something quick.
It's also free and the main focus seems to be the selling of the wine at the end rather than the whole experience. Not sure I would have paid for the experience to be honest though.
Fairly rushed through the museum before trying 4 wines. We were partially introduced to the wines but we had to push for more info and the guide at this point was very focused on about 5 people in the group and seemed dismissive of the rest.
The tours were also only available in Spanish.

When we visited the tours were all in Spanish, but it is still possible to experience the wines and the way they are produced.

The next vinery messed up our reservation and we had only one hour to have a tasting experience. We crossed the road and found vasija secreta, staff very nice, we had 30 minutes tour plus three wines tasting, and all for free starting in 15 minutes. No reservation needed. You can have also lunch at very convenient price. I am honestly shocked to know that the previous vinery was going to charge us from 450 pesos and no apologies for the mistake while these people have been so genuine and welcoming with us.
Absolutely a must!

I was doing a 'wine tour' in and around Cafayate with friends, when we decided to stop at Vasija Secreta. The place was very crowded and buses kept coming in, pouring lots of tourists and students in the main room where the tasting takes place. The people did not give any information about the wines and seemed more interested and busy with tourists buying bottles.
The visit of the winery, on the other hand, was very interesting and the guide gave us lots of information about Cafayate wines.

This is the oldest "bodega" in cafayate. Their wine is 100% organically and is a very nice place to visit if you are in the area

Situated in a colonial style bodega you can visit and taste the wines from the place.
Not the best from the zone but good wines.
Very good public attention

We got there too late to do a tour but we enjoyed looking around on our own. However, I was unimpressed by the quality of the wine

We visited this Bodega just on the edge of Cafayate and had a free tasting. We decided to go back for lunch and enjoyed it a lot. Food was freshly prepared and included vegetarian options. Service was friendly and the garden setting overlooking the vineyards was great, as of course was the wine. Warmly recommended.
