Being a local to the long beach area, Chelsea beach is one of our go to beaches on a hot day. Seems less busy than the beaches at Aspendale, Edithvale and Carrum and it's great for dog walking too

Quiet beach with lifeguards on weekends. Pretty shallow for a couple hundred metres. Great for kids (swim between the flags). There are few jellyfish around so make sure you have some fresh water to relive the sting.

Fantastic first thing in the morning to walk the dog and to be greeted with other dogs and their owners. Water and sand clean and then go for a coffee.

Beautiful beach, clean sand, well maintained boardwalk and surrounds. Close to the shops and train station with ample car parks and even a lovely playground for the younger children.
