Beautiful scenery

There is lots of civil war history in Helena. We drove by many sites but spent time here enjoying beautiful view and great weather.

One of the reasons to visit Helena is the feeling of history - so much to see that takes you back a couple of hundred years - this gives you a strong feeling of the Civil War.

My husband and I both majored in history so we love to stop and read historical markers by the side of the road. So imagine our delight to find a whole park full of them!! Best Historical Markers in Parks--Ever!! We thoroughly enjoyed reading the markers and looking at the recreations and sculptures. We really liked it.
