Third time we've been to the English wine centre and each time I think the food cannot get any better but it does. The menu changes frequently but the quality of the ingredients and the cooking is always top class. We have the 7 wine taster course which is great and all the wines are explained extremely well. The staff... More

We had a family reunion using the garden and one of the barns. The staff and the manager were very good and extremely welcoming. The venue is stunning and there is a well-stocked bar. The food was slightly disappointing; fairly basic, but it is still a venue I would use for a function.

I took a party of 12 people for an epicurean (good food and wine) dinner to the Centre. We had a wonderful time sampling some superb English wines to accompany excellent food. Colin and Sair were wonderful hosts - welcoming, courteous yet unobtrusive. Everyone in our party enjoyed the evening.

Lovely evening meal, a wedding on in the barn, but this did not distract from the restaurant, we had great service and great food.

We dined very well here, my gluten-free wife being excellently catered for. The lady serving was very helpful and knowledgeable.

One would have thought that on a Saturday bank holiday weekend lunch service would either have at least one member of staff dedicated to serving diners, but our host Colin, whilst personable, was multitasking with wedding guests and lodging. A good start - a very tasty mushroom fricassee which was the starter of our 2-course order which we placed as... More

The venue is truly lovely and my wife and I had a beautiful day. The food was lovely and the staff were friendly and welcoming. To us it was a perfect day and a huge thank you must go to one of the owners Christine. Unfortunately we did have a couple of issues that centred around the other owner. Our... More

Went on Saturday the 16th. A surprise birthday present, didn't know where I was going till I got there. I had only seen this place driving by and thought it was only a wine shop, but hidden behind was a small restaurant seating about 30 and Mitchellin recommended. We chose our courses and I had the fish cake for starters... More

My husband and I visited here with my son and future daughter in law to sample the wines, o look at the venue chosen for their wedding and to have lunch. We were delighted with everything and the chef is to be congratulated. We would highly recommend and have done to all our friends. I did comment on here before... More

My husband and I decided to get married at the beautiful wine centre. The barn is picturesque and the gardens are so beautiful with an array of flowers in the summer we realised that this was the place for us. It has an intimate feel, the children could run around safely. Christine, Colin and Grace are great. Nothing was too... More
