Beautifully located. it is the place of happening. This is where we first got introduced to Chai B'louz - (Tea with blanched almonds and mint). Its an open air caffe overlooking the azure blue sea.

Even though crowded but because its open air, one doesn't feel claustrophobic. Infact, one can relax here.

Café des Délices (or Café de Sidi Chaabane) was opened in 1960 and for almost 60 years has been the most famous cafe in Sidi Bou Said. It's the most famous for its panoramic views over the Gulf of Tunisia and it's prices significantly exceeding the prices of its competitors. Should we make extra payments for the view?

Like a lot of the other reviews have stated the drinks are way overpriced. The view is good but you can get plenty of great views in Sidi Bou Said for free.

Rude and condescending waiters, very overpriced without any quality.
i asked for the menu so then the waiter instead started selling me stuff on the fly so that i can buy something very fast without thinking or knowing about the prices.
A scam of a place! avoid at any cost!

They sat me far away from any good view, food selection is poor & worst of all: the waiter scammed me. He said my meal (which was a pizza, juice & small bottle water) was 80 Dinar plus I’d have to give him a tip. I gave him 100 dinar because I had no coins. I don’t speak French or Arabic so I didn’t really understand what he was saying & he knew that. I would not go here again.

Went there with locals and even though the waiters try to cheat the customers with serving for example tea with pine seeds and other stuff, which is more expensive, instead of normal tea and as well totally unfriendly, because they know that the Café is a well known tourist spot. Would not go there again.

In this cafe you can enjoy one of the best views of Sidi Bousaid. Go there to take pictures but do not stay for any consumption. It's ridiculously expensive for what it offers. The service is poor and a glimpse at the kitchen will chock you forever.

This is a scam. Most tourists come here to drink te or coffee. Neither of them appear in the menu, therefore you cannot know how much they cost until you order the bill.
There is no bill, the waiter Chargé different prices to the tourists depending on how much money they think they have. We were told to pay 20 dinars for 2 Teas and 15 dinars for 4 small biscuits that we had not ordered. Total: 35 dinars, more than 10€ and much more expensive than in any café in Paris, Madrid or Rome.

This is a TOURIST TRAP to be avoid. No VAYÁIS. There are lots of nice and honest people in Tunisia but none of them in this cafe.

Great views..but place is filthy, unhygienic, and as said by others...frauds working unethical tricks on you.

Overpriced drinks, waiters don’t speak english and will not return your money or change and take/add a tip for themselves.

We had two coffees after an uncomfortable wait and being sat on unclean tables, the coffee came and looked ok..the steward put a baklava on our table (not ordered by us and not eaten either) and when we asked a bill..we were charged 31 dinar which included 15 dinars for the baklava.

We did not question and paid 40 dinars and got no change given by the waiter. Which I felt was rude.

It’s not great place as said by locals, very intimidating experience and foreign tourists please take my advice and avoid this at all cost.
