Great park with lot's of elevation change and great views on the river. Had several super close rhino encounters and even watched them mating. Please drive slowly and watch out for dung beetle at work!
Driving up from Durban is beautiful. Many lovely small towns to see. We stayed in St Lucia which is about 90 mins to Memorial Gate.

We stayed two nights at hluhluwe hilltop and took a game drive and also did a half day self drive from hluhluwe hilltop resort to imfolozi mpila resort and back.
For the evening game drive, we were amazed to see so many rhinos and buffalos....More
A better card of the roads and trails would not be luxury. Neither would CLEAN lavatories away from the entrance point restrooms that were just about acceptable.
All in all, visiting the park was a positive experience with quiet roads and especially interesting loops off...More
We took a safari to Hluhluwe while staying in Durban.
The nature we saw was fantastic.
To animals in wild from very close by was a great feeling. We saw Zebras Giraffe Buffalo rhino’s and many more.

Whilst staying at Ghost Mountain Inn Mkuze we took their afternoon drive to Hluhluwe. We had done safari earlier this year we knew as it was a hot day a lot of the animals would in the bushes taking shelter until the temperature dropped.
