Parc Ivoloina gives an overview to Madagascar's fauna and flora. The guides have great knowledge of the endemic biodiversity as well as local culture and history. The parc is worth visiting as it includes rare species. It is also convenient for academic study trips as...More

This park is about half an hour north of Tomatve at the end of a bumpy dirt road. I much prefer to see Lemurs in the wild, and many of the Lemurs here are in cages. But the NGO funding the park is conservation minded...More

After visiting the Lemurs park in Antananarivo, the lemurs at the Parc Ivoloina were a slight disappointment. Most (80%) were in cages, apparently for rehabilitation but it was pretty cool to see wild lemurs high in the trees. The walk around the park was amazing...More

Ask for the tour guide called Flavien. He gave us so much interesting information. He stayed longer with us to explain more about the parc. They do a nocturne tour at 5.30pm too. I loved it and I got to feed a chameleon.

Booked a visit through Centre Lambahoany, who mainly organised a car and driver to take me there for the whole day: the driver waited from 10AM-7PM until I was ready to leave. Most of the lemurs are rescued and placed in large cages for rehabilitation...More

This is fairly close to the port, so maybe convenient to visit. I had previously experienced being on an island with wild, uncaged lemurs, so I found this very sad. There were VERY few uncaged animals of any kind. We went to a bird overlook/wetlands...More

Our visit was more enjoyable than I expected. I don't like to see wild animals in captivity but Ivoloina is a sort of refuge and everything is explained very well. Do take a guide otgerwise you will miss alot;

I really like this location. I love seeing the lemurs - they are so curious! The hike is great, and I strongly recommend taking the time to walk to the big waterfall. It's gorgeous. We've never gotten a guide, but I hear that it's well...More

I am sure this can be organised. It is not too far maybe with a tricycle. I recommend you go to ocean 501 they have a great restaurant and rooms with view on the sea.
