One of the best place in town, but they don´t have an spot to see this marvelous construction.

When they opened this was the largest bridge in the world, I don´t know if the little museum next to the bridge west toll is still open to public.

Carefull with the traffic on the bridge, people don´t respect speed limit. but It worth it.

When you do pass it, you should play the Gaita folk song "Cuando voy a Maracaibo" by Maracaibo 15. It would give you the full experience.

Is not posible to stop on the bridge but, landscape is so amazing that you'll enjoy it just by crossing it over in your car. There is no other view like this in the country. Also, is one the longest brigdes in America.

I was amazed to travel on this cable-suspended, secondary truss-supported bridge and scenic beauty of the blue river with boats on it.

Excellent sight from both sides when you are driving on the bridge, is one of the most complete sights of the Maracaibo's lake, even though you cannot stop to take pictures. Is a MUST when you are near Zulia state.

Pictures of this bridge really don't do it justice. I spent more than a few afternoons having a drink and looking out towards the lake and this bridge. At night, when the light it up, it's just gorgeous

So, why am I giving it only three stars? So the first time I went over this bridge, Mario tells me to keep my eyes open and look to see if any of the road lights are out. He explains that this is because the bridge was so cheaply built with so much corruption and theft of materials that it is fairly common for parts of it to collapse into the lake. When this happens, it can be difficult to see at night and there have apparently been instances of several cars going over these gaps and into the water below. Believe me it is a LONG way down. After that, I always pay a lot of attention when I am going over this bridge.

On the Maracaibo side is a very nice scenic park with some placques that tell you about the bridge. It is a beautiful bridge especially at dusk or night when it is bathed in lights. nice drive across it also. Nice for a 1 hour visit
