Great gardens, lovely views, beautifully kept, some spots for a picnic - a fab, cheap 1/2 day out - highly recommended

Unexpected little gem

Money well spent. The garden is about a 20 - 30 minute walk away (depending on your pace) from the ferry located at the southeast end of the island. This is not a huge garden. It is well designed and well presented, with themed areas representing several parts of the world. Therefore each area is unique and has its own charm. Although there is access to the garden for wheelchair users, this is limited but I think still enjoyable. Lots of shady areas and seating to rest a while and enjoy the surroundings. Lovely looking restaurant at the entrance with great outdoor seating, but I cannot comment on food/drink as not used.

Interesting garden.

A small tropical style garden, about a 20 minute walk from the ferry terminal. The charge is €5 to visit, and has some rare plants.

Well worth visiting if you are on the Isle de Batz

This is a modest garden filled with unusual plants. A very small version of the Abbey Gardens on Tresco. I particularly line the sunken garden with tree ferns. This is not a grand garden but well worth visiting if you are a keen gardener and like unusual exotic plants.

Beautiful gardens

We cycled here as the start of our tour of the island. This is an old garden that has been restored to its former glory. We spent a leisurely hour here but could have spent longer. You can get an English brochure but all the signage is in French.

Like stepping into another world

A beautifully-designed garden where each part has its own atmosphere. There's lushness, there's drama, there's serenity, there's a sense of history. While it takes full advantage of of its setting at the tip of the Ile de Batz using the natural rock to wonderful effect, part of it is a steep valley dug by hand when the garden was first created. It has many highlights but the greatest is arriving at the medieval granite Breton "Calvary", moved there from the nearby ruined church which was half-buried by the encroachment of sand. There are some really interesting modern sculptures too. Superb.

A Hidden Gem

Visited the Island just off Roscoff Brittany called Ile de Batz,Really worth the effort to get there. The island is a haven of peace and beauty.
About a kilometer from the port and a easy walk from the port is the Jardin Georges Delaselle a small but interesting and very surprising garden.
My wife and I spent 2 hours and could have spent a lot more time there.
Palm trees, jungle area, cactus garden,New zealand plant area and much more.
I really recommend a visit.

Nice 20min walk to the garden which opens at 11am. most plants arranged by country of origin, great views through gaps in the shelter belt. Amazing recovery from 30 years of neglect.

Nicest gardens ever visited

We'd visited the Roscoff Exotic Gardens which weren't a patch on these ones. There were so many different 'rooms' to explore, and the wildflower meadow looking out over the sea was breathtaking
