Osprey Expeditions is definitely the company to use when visiting Venezuela. Venezuela is an incredible country, with unmatched landscapes, endless adventure, kind and generous people, and a culture that is ready to be shared with the world. A country that is so proud of its beauty and traditions, it truly is contagious.
I made lifelong friends, and some who became extended family during an unforgettable trip. The kind of connections you make with the locals is something rare to find anywhere else.
Venezuela must be visited to demystify the image the country has outside of its borders. It is a land of wonders and incredible people, with fascinating, yet controversial, history and politics, which — ultimately — become more things to be discovered and talked about with the local people to understand the truth of life and how things really work in the country. The country and its people love to have a good time and know to travel within its borders, which makes for high quality traveler’s experiences.
Osprey Expeditions, led by the tireless and charismatic Ben Rodriguez, will take care of all logistics and needs you have during this trip of a lifetime, providing authentic experiences that go beyond the surface, so we can leave feeling like we really became a part of the places, even if for a short stay. Ben helped me during two expeditions in the country, to Angel Falls and the trek to Mount Roraima, both incredible experiences. He also helped me plan trips inside the country around Caracas, Isla Margarita, and Los Roques, all between May and June of 2022.
I cannot wait to go back to Venezuela. It was a dream to visit the country for a long time, and I had very high expectations. All of them got surpassed and the country definitely has my heart. Thanks, Ben, Osprey Expeditions and all the team members during my time in the country for making my trip an unforgettable one.

Ben and Osprey Expeditions has given us an amazing experience travelling through Venezuela. We did the Mount Roraima trek as well as a city tour of Caracas, and I can thoroughly recommend it to any adventurous soul! The owner, Ben, helped us with information and arrangements through every step of the journey and we felt completely safe at all times. The country has improved a lot, and should be on anyone's bucket list! We already know that we'll be back for more adventures with Osprey.

Ben from Osprey had everything organised perfectly. With only intermediate Spanish I was able to arrive in Boa Vista, cross the Venezuelan border, stay in Santa Elena and then make the Roraima expedition. Ben works with a local business on the ground in Santa Elena de Uairen who were more then helpful. The young guide Bostian can speak English if necessary. The speed of the trek depends on you. I was in a small group and Bostian and Gabriel were up for the challenge of reaching Paraitepui in one day.I expected to be eating plain pasta etc but they have a developed a meal plan for the entire trip and everything is sorted. You will not go hungry or get bored. Don’t let people tell you it’s not possible or not safe to go to Venezuela at the moment. With Bens knowledge and organisation and the guys in Boa Vista and Santa Elena I felt no less safe than other places in South America. In fact every person I met was too kind and always willing to help.

Ben with Osprey and the Kaiko camp team made our first trip to Canaima a fenomenal experience (4 days 3 nights). The description in their website is on point 100% : small groups, múltiple stops, as far as I could tell Osprey is the only tour with 2 nights to stay at the camp in front of Salto Angel (others offer only 1), all planned to enjoy the sites to avoid crowds as much as possible, Ben answered personally and promptly my myriad of questions. Carlos Churum our Pemon tour guide is súper energetic, local, knowledgeable, friendly, makes all efforts to accommodate traveler’s needs, an expert on Canaima. They have the best team, boat captain Jose, boat assistant Carlos, and all the members at the camp and at the posada. Ben and his team made it possible for my mom to go, she is very senior and with difficulty to walk, all in the team were extremely helpful (she only went on short walk, flat terrain, spent time at camp otherwise, so happy! The trip of her life). The group of travelers (7 total) was excellent also!, very diverse and down to earth. Gracias Ben, Carlos y a todos!. Orleth

My two weeks in Venezuela wouldn't be the same if they weren't organized by the fantastic Osprey Expeditions. Our tour in Venezuela was so amazingly well organized by Ben, who leads Osprey expeditions that it exceeded all expectations.
Each day was so well planned that we saw and experienced the most of every destination. I am so happy that we chose Osprey Expeditions, because Ben didn't only made sure that the tour was smooth, but also did everything to show us even more. We visited Angel Falls, Mount Roraima, Caracas and Isla Margarita. What an amazing and unique trip!
Venezuela is waking up after a few years an now is definitely the time to visit. The country delivers that fantastic feeling of exclusivity that is nowadays so rare to find. Despite everything you might hear, Venezuela is a very safe country to travel.
Of course I would always recommend traveling organized and follow the instructions. Ben made sure we had all the information and that made the whole experience above positive. Big thanks to Osprey Expeditions and I hope to be a part of any tour they will organize the soonest!

Ever since I was a child, I have dreamed of visiting all the major waterfalls of the world. Of the so-called crown jewel waterfalls (Iguazu, Victoria, Angel, and Niagara), Angel Falls is by far the most difficult to reach. Also, for years Venezuela was unsafe as a travel destination, and I have been waiting and hoping for my chance to come! Thanks to Osprey Expeditions, I got my dream fulfilled. Venezuela is returning to more stable conditions, and with an experienced guide it is safe to travel there at last! Osprey has skilled, helpful and very knowledgeable guides with whom it was a joy to travel! And not only did I see Salto Angel, but so much more! Venezuela is stunning and beautiful and I wouldn’t be surprised if, someday, I will find myself back here again, with Osprey, for further exploration!

A fantastic trip from start to finish !
Hotel will collect you and return you to airport with a free shuttle bus !
A well organised trip with plenty to do and see . The staff were excellent and so helpful at all times. How they managed to cook such excellent and variable meals under primitive conditions still amazes me .Was n't long getting used to sleeping in the hammock.The group really jelled well together and we had a great laugh throughout the trip.
The trek up to Kuravaini Tepui and the views of Kurun and Kusari were spectacular .
On the final evening at the the village of Canaima in the jungle we were honoured with an amazing and entertaining performance from the local Pemmon tribal Children.
As an addendum the Osprey walking tour of Caracas with Eliza was excellent and well worth it . We even visited a Favella ,rode the cablecars and took a train on the metro as well as touring all the major land marks.

Amazing tour!! The river was very low so we were disappointed to be told we might not be able to make it to the Salto Angel, but through a combination of luck and skill the operators were able to get us there! The hike to Kuravaina was amazing, the camp surprisingly comfortable and everyone involved extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable! Highly recommended. Shout out to our guide Churun! He was the best

I had an amazing time with Osprey Expeditions in Venezuela, they organised all of my activities which included Angel Falls, Choroni, Caracas and much more. They organised my hotels, my transport, transfers, internal flights, SIM card etc. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Ben is passionate about Venezuela, he is organised, reliable and knowledgeable. His friendliness, attention to detail and good communication puts your mind at ease. Their website is amazing - very detailed, updated regularly and is a great source. I met some very good people here(intrepid travellers as well as locals) who I hope will be friends for life.
I hope to return in the future and visit some of the other places that interested me in Venezuela such as Merida, Maracaibo, the Amazon, Orinoco Delta and Los Roques.
I felt very safe and welcomed here… visit Venezuela with Osprey Expeditions for a trip of a lifetime, what are you waiting for?

Osprey expeditions is absolutely reliable! We had an amazing time in Canaima and the whole tour was arranged in a detailed way by Ben who really did his best to make us explore one of the worlds most beautiful places.
The only thing you need to know is that when you do this tour, don’t forget to bring a lot of snacks and water due to no shops around and the meals included sometimes being served late or far between. If you’re sleeping in a hammock plz bring with you a mosquito net because the repellant is not good enough. Barely sleeping for a couple of hours every night do affect the trip negatively, so it would be nice if Osprey invested in a few mosquito nets for a even better experience. Enjoy😉
