Beautiful cathedral in the center of city, directly in front of the Bolívar's place. Architecture is similar but not so majestic as European cathedrals.

It's a beautiful cathedral that looks out of place in the middle of the city. It lacks the majestic enormity of the stone cathedrals in Europe but it's well taken care of.

Truly enjoyed a visit to the beautiful Cathedral of the Catholic Archdiocese of Caracas...a wonderful place of prayer for Catholics and all God's People in this wonderful city!

This is worth spending a few minutes inside to admire the architecture of a typical cathedral in this part of the world. This one is perhaps not as impressive as some.

I Personally preferred la Iglesia de San Francisco( magnificent Barroque gilded altar) But here Simon Bolivar was baptised and married ( some close relatives are also buried here as well) Caracas is not Quito in terms of awesome religious buildings but this place deserves a...More

Small, rundown and seems like forgotten by whoever is in charge of historic sites. Nothing of value worth the visit. The neighborhood is one of most dangerous in Caracas so pick up a taxi and ask him to wait in the front door. Muggers are...More
