A day at Parque El Agua in Margarita
Apr 2018
When I visited the water park (2018), I carried my two sons as well who were 1 and 9 years old at the time. I paid an entrance fee of Bs. 1,000,000 per person which was an average of USD 15 for me because I got an exchange rate of USD 1 to VEF 70,000 (also known as Bs.) from a friend of a friend. This entrance fee is just for tourists because the locals pay a different, lower rate. I did not have to pay for my younger son so he entered for free. Cannot remember the cost for the lockers but I did rent one. Also had to pay a deposit of Bs. 200,000 which I got back after I returned the key when leaving. Before we entered there were persons outside doing some face painting for free. It was also Carnival time in Venezuela. Upon entering the compound our bags were checked. The park was very deserted! I would assume that it was a result of the crisis taking place in the country. There are food and drinks on sale of course, as well as bathroom facilities and a gift shop. There are chairs, tables and umbrellas around the park that everyone can use. Firstly the water was very cold when I was there, the kids' pool in particular. The kids' pool is where the younger ones who are not able to use the water slides because of height or age limitations can enjoy themselves. There is also a little pool area and a lazy river where persons can just relax. Slides close at certain times around lunch, but not all at once. The park has a lot of potential but no matter if there are a few persons or a big crowd you will definitely enjoy your day at the water park.

on August 15th 2015 , i took my two children to the water park arrived 10am planning to spend 4 hrs, this place was so captivating ,exciting , enjoyable when we left it was 5.30 p.m ..we spent the entire time having fun going on slide after slide.. the children at least.. ..some of the slides are for the strong at heart..i love the yellow open twisted slide.... felt like a roller coaster..but great fun .. never saw so many life guards and caring people in one place ..everyone was so helpful..food was a little expensive.. but who wants to be eating when you can be splashing around? If you are not brave enough to go on any ride you can still have fun in the man made "sea" with "waves" coming at you , an endless river to float around in .or just stand under the water barrel.. we really enjoyed ourselves..would recommend Parque el Agua ..whenever you visit Margarita.. just splendid.

I've been coming to this park every time I visit Margarita Island, the park now includes the largest swimming pool with waves, a real fun and a plus. They are under maintenance of 2 big slides but anyway it was fun. The food was good and it is safe inside. You must visit it. If you enjoy adrenaline, take the almost vertical slide.
Bring with you sunblock because the sun in Margarita can be very strong and you might get burn.

Everything was quite interesting. Our one day trip to the zoo in Caracas was exciting. Travelling in the subway was great.

its one of the best options to do in an island where there is not so much to do. So if you choose this place to go, this park is a good option.

If you travel to Margarita with Kids you must go to this park. Everybody will have fun. Facilities are well maintained. Food is expensive so get a good breakfast before you go there. Enjoy!!!

Due to lack of tourists, The park has closed more than half of the park and lowered the waterlevel. The pool that was 1.80 is now 0.80. Saving money....

I would bet that within 2 years will this place be closed forever.
