Closed down this palce due to a fight that ended in shots... terrible incident. I feel bad about it because Senor Frogs was an amazing place to hang out, full of life and entertainment.. great drinks.. shame people cannot put their ghetto mind away

When I was younger (about 18-22) I used to go to Margarita every Easter. And every time I was there, my plans involved Playa El Agua and Señor Frogs. It was a restaurant that turned into a disco after 10 pm. The staff was extremely nice and funny, the place had all the ceiling filled with funny signs, the food was very good, byt the best part was the disco. Being on an island, dress was very casual. They used to do many contests involving drinking. It was open until 6 am and it was the perfect place to party. The music was latin, very catchy, and everybody used to dance all night long. Sadly Venezuela has become a country with many issues...there was a law (starting on 2005-2006 that made all bars close at 2 am. And in addition to that, there are issues regarding delicuency. A few years ago, two guys got killed in front of the disco, and from that moment on, it was closed. I must say that when it was open, there were some issues too. Venezuelans are not very used to follow the rules...there was a really long line to enter the disco after 9 pm. And there was a second line (unbelievable) of the people willing to pay something in additional to the regular entrance fee...corruption everywhere as a part of normal life sadly. I don"t know any other bar/disco similar to Señor Frogs in Venezuela (and I live here!). The only place I've found something like it, was in cancun... Don't waste your time in Margarita. There are many other islands with beaches a lot more beautiful in the Caribbean and a lot less expensive.

I am currently in Margarita Island (September 5th, 2010) and asked about Senor Frog. It has been closed for awhile. Awhile back two men got killed there over an arguement over a girl. If you search the venezuelan version of google you can find youtube video's of this..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-P_oTDht60M&feature=related Apparently the government cracked down afterwards and closed it down
