Well this is the most relaxing thing I did while on the island. The instructor was friendly and courteous the horses were easy. The landscape is breath taking and so soothing. I recommend it for anyone.

Amazing Adventure
Aug 2013
This operation is top notch and helped me to have the ride of my dreams. They are professionals in every sense and give the rider an unforgettable experience over the mountains, through cactus forest, and on the beach. They stopped to do safety checks, and catered the ride based on your experience. I wanted to gallop so they let me do so with a private guide for part of the journey. The ranch itself is beautiful. I highly recommend them. I will go back.

Great Family Outing in Margarita
Sep 2012 • Family
We visited La Isla de Margarita for a family getaway. My daughter, 6 and son, 5 both have a keen interest and fondness for horses and so we decided to book with Cabatucan on the advice of a Tour guide. We were a little apprehensive, not quite sure if the riding tour would be suitable for young children, as length of tour/ horseriding is about 2 hours.
It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Cabatucan's tour guide, Geraldo was punctual for pick-up at hotel, professional and very pleasant. With limited horse riding experience, we were instructed in riding do's and dont's to feel confident and safe on ride. The tour lead us through the hills, down the coast and back to the hills where the views were truly beautiful. Helmets and refreshments were provided.
I would recommend this as a perfect outing to see more of the the natural beauty of Margarita island. Definitely wear sunblock/long sleeves/pants as there is no escaping the scorching heat of the Margarita sun...unless of course you want a rosy suntan.

Horseback riding for both beginners and experts
Mar 2012 • Friends
We were a group of 10 people, out of which 6 riders were unexperienced. The latter were riding along each other, exploring the scenery of La Margarita. The 4 experienced participants could ride into the water and gallop (with the owner of the farm). The price paid included Transportation from and to the ranch, basic riding instructions and a riding hat as well as drinks (water, coke and beer). We had 4 guides at our disposal. The horses were clean and in perfect condition.

Riding with Cabatucan ranch, Isla Margarita
We booked this online before setting off on our cruise and didn't need to make any payment. Luc emailed us with the taxi arrangements - meeting time and name of the driver. Everything went to plan and we had a wonderful morning riding in the mountains and on the beach. There were 6 other people with varying abilities riding with us and horses were given out depending on their ability. We were the only English people but we were able to talk to 2 other riders from Germany who had stopped off on the island whilst travelling around Central/South America. Drinks were provided before and after the ride. There was an area to change and lockers to leave valuables and hard hats were provided. I recommend Cabatucan to anyone who may be visiting Isla Margarita and is interested in riding.

Horse Back ridding at Cabatucan Ranch Margarita Island
Horse Back ridding at Cabatucan Ranch where we were matched to a horse of our ability, we were taken through some lovely landscape scenery, down onto a beach where we walk along the waters edge, then back up to the Ranch. This was brilliant.
