This was lovely! A really nice outing. Although cloudy the sea was not too choppy and we were comfortable. Highly recommended.

I recommend to take the catamaran to Aix, he will drop you of there for a visit and pick you back up 4 to 5 hours later. The captain is a super friendly guy and has a lot of knowledge to share during the ride. You will pass fort boyard at about 100m that will give you some beatifull pictures. …

It had been a long held ambition to see Fort Boyard since we first saw it in holiday last year. Having seen reviews that suggested Boyardville was the best place to get a trip from, we checked out reviews and this one seemed something different. Right from booking at the kiosk, we were made very welcome. The passengers onboard with us were a mix of French and German, with us as the only Brits, but the crew made an effort to speak to everyone in their own language. From the first phone call through to the day itself, we were impressed by the warmth of the welcome. We had an hour's trip out to and circling around Fort Boyard, with the history and current use explained to us. We then sailed to Ile d'Aix and had a lovely afternoon just wandering round the fortifications. Due to a late departure from Boyard Ville (waiting for late passengers), we missed the first sitting for lunch in the restaurants (they were full up) but we bought a great picnic from the village shop which seemed to have everything, and sat overlooking the port. We were picked up again at 18h15 and had an hour's sail back as the sun went down. It was a lovely relaxing day, and the informative and welcoming skipper made it all the better. As sailors ourselves, we were impressed by his excellent boat handling skills! As it was nearly the end of the season (23 September ), we reserved 2 days in advance. This is recommended because they might not sail every day. Taking our small dog was no problem. We recommend taking a windproof, even on warm days, though the skipper did have ones that you could borrow. Certainly recommend this company and a day out on Ile d'Aix. …
