The quarry here is where all the Moai on the island were "born". It is amazing to see how the statues were carved right out of the rock, and even more amazing to realize how far some of them were transported across the island. Here,...More

For us this was it. Remarkable in so many ways and your mind totally wanders to what happened. Time stopped here just a wow moment. Like all stops on the island it is best with a guide.

The Rano Raraku volcano is where the Moais were built, it is definitely a must at easter island. Walk a few more steps and reach the inside of the volcano

Multiple moai, some partially excavated and or partially completed; some "the only one of its kind". Make sure to bring plenty of water along for your hike, as the hot Easter Island sun will toast you!

It is one of the most outstanding place in the island, this gentle hill covered with heads and other objects, a stone open air museum that offers, in addition to the archeological importance, an incredible suggestion for everybody walking around. Fantastic place, easy walk, with...More
