Uncover the secrets of Easter Island by piecing together the many clues given to us by the gigantic sculpted megaliths that cover this mysterious land. Start the journey by visiting Tahai (a restored ancestral village). Visit the ruins of the fallen moai at Ahu Akahanga. Visit Ahu Tongariki, where fifteen stone giants watch over the land as silent sentinels.
Spend a bulk of the afternoon absorbing the grandeur of Rano Raraku, the volcano crater that acted as a stone quarry and birthplace for these immense figures. Visit Ahu Te Pito Kura and see the legendary magnetic stone. Finish the day among coconut palms, turquoise water and white sand at Anakena Beach (Ahu Nau Nau).

Moai Monuments small group tour runs on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from November to April. Minimum of 2 and a max 8 people. Pick up from your lodgings is between 9:30AM-10:00AM.

My husband and I just completed a 4 day tour with guides Yo-yo and Kava. we couldn’t have a better time. We highly recommend the hike along the North Coast. You really do need a professional to take you to the ruines and artifacts.

I really enjoyed the stargazing experience. We had a great night for it and could see a ton of stuff. I really liked the guides. I did drag on a bit at the end but otherwise I really enjoyed it.

These tours are great to spend time on the island but if any of them is canceled, your chances of getting your money back are close to nothing. A company does not answer emails and very selectively responds to text messages. Don’t waste your time...More
