    Enjoy the water and sights!
Small white sand beach that is in a very protected location. Very popular with locals and tourists. Restaurants available at the entrance to the beach and picnic tables under coconut trees if you prefer to bring your own food. Some Moai to view just behind the beach. They believe that this is where the King lived.

Surprising white sand beach on a volcanic island
One of three places you can visit without a guide (the other two are Ovahe and Tahai) and visit as often as you like. Don't expect to have the place to yourself, always busy. It's a white coral sand beach, a surprise considering the island is volcanic rock, was expecting it to dark sand. Anakena has two ahus; Ahu-Ature has a single moai and Ahu Nao-Nao has seven, two of which have deteriorated. It also has a palm grove, car park, cafes and restrooms.

    Beautiful beach
This is a beautiful beach, with spectacular blue water, powdery sand, gentle waves, and lovely setting. Plan to spend a half day there — we stopped there on our island tour and it was insufficient. In any event, remember to take your beach stuff if you are stopping there on a tour. The service at one of the restaurants there was very slow.

    Szép strand
It really is a beautiful beach. So far, I have seen few such beauties. The water is clean, fine and pleasant. The gold sand is clean and fine grained. It is worth taking the time to bathe if you travel to this island. The catering is chaotic. The waiter took the order in a minute. He served the drink after 20 minutes. They didn't start preparing the food in 1 hour. Service was continuous at the side window. Maybe you should have asked for a takeaway... But the tourist doesn't know that. That's why I can't give maximum points.

    Very cool little beach
Nice little beach with a few Moai as well. Easy walk from the parking lot. Well preserved and include the red stone toppers. Also they have the manually reconstructed Moai. Very nice stop and well worth the effort.

Anakena Beach has soft sand, Moai Statues, Art Vendors and several snack bars. Water is clear but colder than Hawaii or Tahiti. Snorkeling is ok as long as you dont get too cold. A vendor does offer to dress and paint you traditionally and take photos with your or their camera. I ended up here several time on my visit, If not on a tour, you can get there by rental car, taxi, or a shuttle. Just dont forget your Park Pass

Great beach and picnic area along with a restaurant. This is the island's main beach with good sunbathing and swimming. There were many vendors here with homemade crafts. Pay toilets are available here. Best light is in the early morning. Anakena has four moai sites, two which have been reconstructed and two others that are weathered. The centerpiece of Anakena is Ahu Nau Nau, It stands majestically at the top of the sand and restored in 1978. It was underneath this platform that the white coral eye on display in the museum was discovered.

Anakena Beach is a white coral sand beach and is only one of two small sandy beaches in Easter Island. Anakena has two ahus(platforms), Ahu-Ature has a single moai and Ahu Nao-Nao has seven, two of which have deteriorated. It also has a palm grove. It offers several photographic opportunities. As per legend, Anakena beach served as the entry point for the first settlers on Easter Island. Would recommend visiting this place with a local guide to get a better perception of history.

March 18, 2020: This pre-evacuation excursion was truly the best of show of the amazing locations of cultural importance on Rapa Nui. We would have gone back to swim if we'd had the chance. Beautiful white sands, palm fronds waving in the breeze, majestic maoi standing guard eternally.

Rapa Nui is an island surrounded by incredible beaches that are quiet and most safe to swim at. Anakena is a large beach thats very popular and can become quite busy. it does have a cafe and restaurant which is hand given its distant location from Hanga Roa

Truly spectacular beach with the Moai behind it as guardians. Possibility to stop and eat under the palm trees with barbecue grills. There are also some rather expensive places where you can only pay in cash (so you need to be ready), but a cocktail with a view like this is worth it

THe main attraction here is the soft sandy beach and safe swimming waters. There are a few stalls and some restaurants/ cafes and toilets/ changing rooms. But there are also two ahu here - one with a sole moai, and the other with several. There's little in the way of info boards, but the statues are still very impressive, even if over-looked by the beach-bathers.

It is one of the few places you can access without payment and without a guide. There is no phone signal so you have to leave everything coordinated if you are not renting a car. It has a restaurant and bathrooms, which allows you to spend the whole day! As long as it doesn't touch windy. The water is spectacular, truly a paradise, the point is that it has good weather (sun and no wind and no rain...which is asking a lot!)

Beautiful beach nothing to envy the Caribbean, very clean. The beach has parking lots, and some restaurants which are more expensive than those in the center. The water is not warm as I had been told, but it is a little less cold than those on the central coast of Chile.
