Dawn and sunrise, if clear, are magical here in El Chaltén. There are many places to be at, like Laguna de los Tres, Laguna Capri, etc. But simply the best overall views are at Mirador Los Cóndores and El Paredón. There, sunrise is the best time to see that sweep of sunrays painting the town and the Southern Andes Chain with sun. A definite must !

Gorgeous sunrises!

The sunrises in El Chalten are gorgeous!! Watching the sun come up behind the mountains and turn all the peaks to a beautiful glowing orange is not a view that you should miss out on! Try and experience it at least once while you're there! You won't regret it!

A little big dot in the map of Argentinean Patagonia... Fitz Roy peak the river and the town are magic, on the boreal spring (austral autumn) everything change of colour... intense colours!
It is very important arraive early in the morning to get the most beatiful tours, all of them are walking hours along these wonderful landscapes. There are a few hostel or you can stay in Calafate and rent a car... there are buses but they arrive late in the morning and the last one leave early in the afternoon.
