What a sight for sore eyes while you are visiting this beautiful part of the world. Assorted books in quite a few languages and hand bound books with beautiful block printing..Definatly worth a visit!!

Diamond in the Rough

In the hiking capitol of Argentina lies and absolute gem of a bookstore. It is well stocked, but intimate. Collections of local history, explanations of the flora and the fauna are to be expected in this remote location. Not expected was the fiction and non-fiction collection to satisfy all your needs while communing with nature. The prices are considerably lower than those found in El Calafate (the largest neighbor, 20 km away), so if you are planning El Chalten as your next stop, wait till Marcopolo to satisfy your literary needs. Beyond that the, the staff, probably the owner is charming, knowledgeable and all one would expect. All together a remarkable gem in the wilderness.
