    Sensational
Nature was immensely generous with that region! The landscapes are incredible!!! We went up to Laguna de Los Tres, at the base of Mount Fitz Roy and it was an excellent experience!!! The trail was difficult, but the view upon arrival makes us forget all the effort and difficulty! Upon return, Ojo de Bife, at Restaurante Oveja Negra, crowned the day!

Trekking that you have to do yes or yes!
It is a trek of medium demand, but the truth is that you enjoy the landscapes to the fullest, it is a wonderful place, every landscape you see is beautiful. When I did the trekking, entire families were doing it, children, older adults. It is a gift to do this trekking through the beautiful landscapes that nature gives you.

    Windy, beautiful lake
Incredible view of Cerro Torre and the back of Mt Fitz Roy. The hike from Chalten was around 13 miles round trip, reportedly much easier than Laguna de Los Tres. It was still pretty long. Most of the hike was pretty nice weather-wise. But it got extremely windy up at the top, like hold on to your hat windy. We did not go around the lake as it was just too cold and windy when we went.

    Perfection of another world
Ė difficult to find words to describe the perfection of this place. I'd say it's something that every human being must visit before he dies. I know much of Europe and North America, but nothing I saw compares to the beauties I witnessed in Patagonia Argentina. Just like the trail that leads to Laguna De Lós Tres (Fitz Roy) this is also OBLIGATORY for those who want to know Patagonia. Quiet track, well signalled and most of the route you are walking in the plane, level of difficulty lower than the track of the fitz roy.

    Unforgettable
It is an impressive place that deserves to go at least once in a lifetime. It involves quite a long hike but almost everything is flat unlike the trail of the Laguna de los Tres. If you're thinking about it don't hesitate and go.

To the Torre lagoon as a family.
It is spectacular to face challenges like this as a family. We went as a group with my wife and daughters, two teenagers (17 and 20) and an 8-year-old girl. We were all able to travel the path of more than 18km. We came back tired but happy. It took us 3hs and 30min the way and 3hs the way back. It's road has its demanding parts but mostly quiet. The scenery is incredible and every now and then you have to stop to watch and marvel. The day was cloudy on the hill and we did not see the Tower but it was worth it anyway. Felices!

Of the best views of Los Andes
The Tower showed itself! The road is 1/3 medium complicated (stone areas where you have to move carefully or on "3 legs", the rest is an easy trail. It is 18km total (round trip) but if the day is nice it is worth it, seeing the Tower with the Fitz Roy (from the first viewpoint) is fascinating. Then the lagoon with the tower and the glacier is spectacular. If you go to El Chaltén it is because you like this type of thing, otherwise do not go to El Chaltén.

    beautiful but too expensive
hello everyone i wanted to let you know laguna capri and laguna de los tres now costs 45,000 ARS for foreigners. there was a long line for people without tickets at 9 am. credit card only, bring more than one in case it does not work. at 9 am they were definitely enforcing it.

    World class
When Cerro Torre is cloud-free, the view over the lagoon is world-class. The path to get there is long (9 km one way), but overall easy to walk, even for less experienced hikers. However, some condition is still required. It is a matter of luck to alder Cerro Torre without clouds. Even on beautiful days with blue skies, the mountain may be cloudy. In our experience, the odds are best when it is not so windy. So always pay attention to the wind in the weather forecast. You can see Cerro Torre quite early at the beginning of the trail and it may be cloud-free when you arrive at the lagoon, but it is already in clouds again. Conversely, it is also possible. We have experienced both. If you are in El Chalten, the hike to Laguna Torre is mandatory and with a bit of luck you will get a unique mountain panorama, which is hardly ever seen on our planet. The path itself is also very nice and definitely worthwhile. And on the lagoon it is also great, even if Cerro Torre does not show up.

Doing the trail means that you have to be aware that it will take around 6 to 8 hours, it has several stops with different viewpoints, Margarita waterfall, Cerro Torre, Fitz Roy River, etc., the first half of the route is the most demanding, Then it is more friendly, once we arrived at the lagoon we were hit by a lot of wind with strong gusts, there are several shelters where we can take cover to have some mate or have lunch for example. The lake usually has pieces of ice floating in the shore area. Save energy for the descent, in my case it was quite uncomfortable to do it with the accumulated fatigue of the day.

This is a moderate to difficult hike that takes you through a variety of topography. The hike is 9 kilometers and took us about 6 hours. There are several points that were extremely windy. However overall much of the trail is sheltered through woods so is less windy than some other hikes.

This is a very good day out. It's not particularly hard going but it's long and in/out. Take food and water/filter, there is a stream along part of the way. Lots of excellent views along the route which meanders through woodland then becomes more exposed towards the top.

As always in these parts you are dependent on the weather, so plan to stay as long as you can at the lake as the weather changes every ten minutes and at some stage you will see the fabulous mountain peaks.

The wind coming down off the glacier is quite cold and the lake actually has icebergs in it, so have something you can wrap up warm in.

There is a backcountry camp site nearby, and I enjoyed watching the young lads wade into the lake to collect ice, then use it to chill their beers. Can't beat human ingenuity.

The trail is long but well marked. The place has a little infrastructure along the way (some campsites and public bathrooms). There are several people doing the trail so there is no need for a guide as the chance of getting lost is minimal. There is a viewpoint further up following the rocks, which is a little more challenging, where few people actually do it. Most are on the lakefront.

Easy peasy compared to Laguna fe los tres the
day before but the weather was perfect for us.
All very flat, no steep parts at all but it's about
8 miles each way. Great views all along the trail
and it's very easy to follow.
Good walking boots needed as it's rocky and
uneven in parts but otherwise a good trail.
The sun was shining for us which made great
views of the mountain range behind Laguna
capri. Very sheltered too so ideal to stop and
enjoy lunch before the walk back.
You can see the glacier at the back of the lake
and some chunks are floating which is great to
see up close.
Overall great day, definitely recommend this
trail.

We were here in El Chalten for most of 3 days & 2 nights. The weather was apparently typically windy, some rain & broken clouds to cloudy & showers. We chose to do this moderate 9 km hike to see the lake and great view of Cerro Tores. There were some views en route and the trail is well marked. There are some short steep sections and some rocky terrain. from the scenery we could see. The lake at the base of the big glacier was lovely and on a clear day would be stunning. I heard that this is the area’s most recommended trail.

This hike can be done by anyone. If you arrive late and have limited days - even just try to make the first lookout. It’s about an hour up. Trail is in and out on same path and we went all the way to the lake. Make sure you have a wind breaker as the temperature dropped by the lake and the winds get forceful.

This hike is decently long but not very challenging. There are a few uphill sections near the beginning but they don’t last long and you always get a break between the sections. The middle is flat. The end destination is a lake with great views of various large mountains and glaciers. It was very windy at the lake. Best to do on a nine cloudy day.

As a 69 yr old, this 11 mile RT hike was a bit challenging for me, partly because of the pace set by fellow hikers and our guide. However, our guide sent the "young sprites" ahead which allowed my husband and me to slow down and enjoy the walk. While I enjoyed the company of our guide, I would have preferred to do this hike ourselves so we could go as slow as we would have liked. I felt pressured to keep moving. But...I made it to Laguna Torre and was proud of my accomplishment. Blue skies afforded us a most magnificent spectacle.

The walk out to the Laguna Torre is very pleasant and not to difficult, just long! Eventually the view unfolds to the glacier and lake. The lake has many floating lumps of ice. A more spectacular view of the glacier is found if you take the walk along the moraine at high level to the mirador.
