564 reviews
Soak up the wild beauty of inland Yukon, Canada’s westernmost territory, on a shore excursion by minibus that follows the famous Klondike Highway from Skagway, Alaska, a stress-free option for visitors that want a comprehensive tour. Multiple stops are made for photos and wildlife sightings are possible. Visit Caribou Crossing Trading Post for an insider’s glimpse into local culture. Enjoy a hearty lunch, visit the Museum of Yukon Natural History, and see a dog sledding camp. Pass through the Carcross Desert on the return to your Skagway port. Note: All travelers must bring their valid passport.

Went upon the Whitehorse and Yukon railroad as far as possible, continued by coach, Carcross is situated on the Klondke highway south of Whitehorse. Maybe the place is just for tourists but well worth the visit, lots of totem polls brightly painted,a really well stockt shop for any souvenirs or practically anything you might want, the visitors information centre was fairy large and had all the leaflets that you could imagine about the area, and if you asked they would stamp your passport with a Yukon motif, spent about 3 hours here before the bus took us back to Skagway, real good day out.

We arrived in Carcross for our first visit and our first stop was the Visitor Information Center. They were so helpful, gave us lots of relevant information which enhanced our visit in Carcross. We were very impressed with the places that they recommended like the Carcross/Tagish First Nation Learning Center and the Carcross Commons which places most of the interesting shops and Parks Canada in one area. This is a small unique town with a lot of history and they are doing an excellent job of interesting people in their town.

The staff that helped us both times we stopped in here were so friendly and knowledgeable, and SO pleasant! Tons of resources are available here, and I can't imagine too many questions that they can't answer. Would highly recommend.
