This is by far the best value for money when it comes to golfing in the bow valley / kananaskis area. Course and greens are really well maintained, staff are really friendly and accommodating and the views are stunning. At slow times or after 4pm, a round of 18 is really affordable. Highy recommend trying this course if you haven't yet.

Sorry corymitc you may, at a 6 handicap, think this not be up to your standards, but for most golfers this place is an little known gem. The green fees are great, the scenery is great, and the holes are fun and varied. Oh, by the way you are not likely to find a more personable pro than Walt. Living in N.W. Calgary it is a 45' drive, much like me driving to S.W. Calgary! This is my go to course!

We did 18 holes at Brewsters in May. Its a challenging course with absolutely stunning mountain scenery. Carts arent allowed off the path so you end up walking a fair bit.
Charlie the golden retriever dog that lives there is super friendly and greets everyone. He did steal my banana bread however. Hes sneeky.
The course was not crazy busy and over all super good value. Low price, affordable club rental and carts. Drive isnt that far from Calgary. Unprentious club, not overly busy or packed. It has a total rustic /cabin vibe.

Take note-no real restaurant on site. Hotdogs and some random packaged food available but its not awesome. I wouldnt eat here again.

Overall I would totally reccomend!

This is more of a pitch and putt or executive course with a few longer holes to make it resemble a golf course.
It is a "cute" and does have some nice looking holes. But for a strong player (let's say under a 10 handicap.... I'm a 6) this is a bit of a joke. It's narrow so I got to work on my long irons off the tee a lot. Didn't have the opportunity to hit a single wood (nor was it required in anyway with the short holes). But if looking at it for a short game test, it fails in that regard too. Bumpy, shaggy postage stamp greens.

The fairways were in good shape.

Not worth the money in my opinion. Will not return. For Alberts residents, who are avid, golfers, play the real Kananaskis Country Golf Course. Way better course for just a bit more money.

If you're a high handicap golfer it may be a fun Mickey mouse course to try out. Although I think of this as a course catering to the high handicap golfer, the narrowness of the course will likely require them to bring a couple dozen golf balls. Accuracy is constantly required.

If you're a serious golfer, from arrival to finish you'll likely be thinking "What is this?", as I was.

We enjoyed this course, but it’s quite narrow which makes it a challenge. The staff was great. The course does not allow carts to go on the fairways. This course is not as fancy as others but it’s set up as a ranch, so think rustic. Nice mountain views for a backdrop on the course. Worth a visit.

Although a nice location and less expensive than other courses in Canmore's area, management is not keeping the course in the shape it should be. Lack of care is evident on all holes and there is not staff to correct or maintain the location. I have played numerous times and it is just getting worse. Spend your money elsewhere...

Thanks for your feedback. As it nears the end of the golf season, less water can be used for fairways in the mountains or grass gets frost-kill due to the overnight freezing temperatures. If there were specific holes that needed attention, please let us know. Otherwise, we hope to see you again next season! :) Joan

We arrived without expectation at the course and the facilities were fine but basic. We hired clubs, balls and trolleys (too much scenery to miss in a buggy). The staff were very friendly and helpful. The clubs were a full set and very good.
They have built (and superbly maintained) 18 holes in what is effectively scrubland. But what a wonderful 18 holes they are! The course is not particularly long but very interesting and different holes with a lot of up and down. There are no easy pars.
We thought the front nine were terrific but the back nine were even better - so many signature memorable golf holes. Take a good supply of balls since most drives are narrow and most greens (excellently maintained) are small.
Overall the scenery and the fairways were beautiful - probably the best fairways we have played on for a long time.
We paid 140 dollars for the whole package for two and it was worth every cent.

I have played here many times and enjoy it every time. The staff are very friendly . The setting is fantastic and the cost is very good value compared to some mountain courses even though it is just outside the mountains the views are amazing.
It is a challenging course as it is narrow . So bring plenty of golf balls
