then go and visit Azadi park. Every evening and most of all on thrusdays and fridays you will meet the Shirazis there having picknick, playing volleyball, jogging or enjoying the roller coaster.
It is a family place with many kiosks - be prepared to be invited for a tea and some cockies.

This park is one of the biggest parks in Shiraz. You can see lot of people there most of these men they are taking rest during the hot summer days and some of this people trying to find a comfortable place to calm down they're busy minds. There are very big artificiale lake that you can take a boat to ride it for some moment. There is a very big cage that they are keeping many birds in it,so you can watch different kinds of birds that they are living together, there are also many toys that you can Muse yourself or your children to play a lot there. So please without any hesitate go to sea and also enjoy a lot of being there.

Azadi is a big old park in the middle of shiraz.
there is a lake inside the park which you can ride boat on it.
in the middle of the park there is a little amusement park which i don't recommend you to visit as there are not safe at all and you could find many people from nowhere which you cat feel safe beside them.

at the end of the park there are some booths selling different staff and foods.

the park itself is beautiful but this is not a place you regret for not going.
but if you had enough time, that would be nice to spend a little time specially in daylight in it.

This park is one of the oldest park in the city . You can visit different kinds of people there . some of them riding a bicycle , some are playing football , some are resting , some are reading a book , ... I think this place is full of energy . there is a little park for children at the corner of the park . You can buy everything there , ice cream , sandwich , pizza , ... . The native people come to this place in the weekend so it is so crowded at that time .

If you ask an average person from Shiraz about city attractions the answer is likely to be: Azadi park and the Luna park. Especially on Thursdays and Fridays many local people visit these parks often accompanied by children.
In Azadi park there is a lake or rather a big pond with real ducks where you can make a tour by boat. Trees and green vegetation along the lanes, fitness equipment that can be used for free and a bicycle rental, though I failed to find it open. Of course inevitably there are sales outlets, mainly kiosks that sell special goods.

This park was next to our hotel so we wandered around at different times of day. It is quiet in the mornings but there is a great little coffee shop in the SW corner near the hotel. It is not much more than a 'hole in the wall' but well worth popping in. The park gets packed late in the afternoon and at night with lots of young people and families. It is just worth going into to people watch and see that young people in Iran are like everywhere else. People on skate boards, bikes, people laying soccer and volley ball. There is an amusement park at the NE corner which attracts lots of people. The lake was empty when we visited. If you are to staying nearby I would not make the effort to come to the park, but if nearby wander in and enjoy.
