There is some good history and easily accessible ruins with a small kids play area. It's nice to walk around while in the area as it's in the middle of town. There is a path through to the beer garden at the Dragon Inn next...More

There is not much left of the Castle, but it’s full of history. And well worth a walk around the area. There has been a Castle on this site since 1092, constructed by the Normans with earth and timber original. It’s well worth the walking...More

Free to visit. Not a lot left Romantic ruin of a tower Very close to town centre so easy to visit if you are in town

The castle ruins are open to anyone and it makes a nice walk. There is a path up the mott where you can view across the village.
