My brother and I arranged to play here because it was the closest course to our holiday cottage. We had a wonderful surprise at both the wonderful scenery and the excellent course. So many holes were full of character and the 5° temperature with medium North winds made them a real challenge. We were made welcome and the game was fantastic value for money. We’d recommend it to any golfer and our only disappointment was not having time to have a drink in the lovely bar/restaurant.…

A great place for a really good pint and chat. No music pool TV or other distractions. Just enjoy meeting old friends and new people without having to shout.

Six mixed company played the course on a sunny but rather windy day. As we had four consecutive days of golf we decided to play in buggies this time. Jesus! Were we glad we did. It's a great course to play as every hole is different. It is quite challenging and our top score was just twenty seven points. One of it's best features is the insulation which abounds. The ladies tee boxes were just a yard or two in front of the yellow tees and this made it extremely hard for the women. Did they get any sympathy from us men? Not a chance, we have to be that far away from the pin every time. Seriously though towards the latter end of the round ladies tees were in their proper places. I don't know if the earlier ladies tee boxes were g.u.r. The ladies with us struggled to get twenty points. The course, overall, was in really good condition both on the fairways and on the greens, some of which were two-tiered with slopes. Two of us would definitely play here again, the ladies would choose to give it a miss and the other gent is still recovering! Absolutely enjoyed the whole day…

Played today (3 ladies. 3 men) used buggies and boy, were we glad. This is a hilltop course, but many steep inclines and up and down slopes. The views are outstanding. A golfer rarely gets a level lie (ball seems always to be above or below your feet) There are many blind shorts and you often aim at marker posts, so you do not see the ball land. I hit a crunching tee shot to a blind fairway, straight down the middle, only to find the fairway crossed by 2 ridges of rough. I lost 6 balls and am not a terrible golfer. One of the par 3's is completely blind, you cannot see green or flag. The carries are very long especially for ladies, and the red boxes are usually very close to the men's yellows. Playing with my wife, she was reall pleased to find a ladies toilet half way round. Her delight was short lived as it was PADLOCKED (so we cannot comment on cleanliness. After our round we were told that a key was available in the Bar. IT WOULD BE GREAT IF THE PRO HAD TOLD US THIS WHEN WE PAID OUR GREEN FEES. The Pro and the Bar staff were very friendly. Apart from the hilliest, the course was in good condition.…
