Some good history
Aug 2021 • Couples
Was visiting friends who live in Llandrindod. They took us on a walk around the area and it was a lovely place to walk. We went to the springs where apparently Queen Victoria went to drink the water. The water was disgusting as it purely tasted of metal due to the copper pipes it came through. Had a lovely ice cream near the lake with a variety of flavours.

Beautiful view, lovely cake.
Cafe was very busy but the staff were polite and efficient.
Saw lots of lovely looking food coming out of the kitchen. Will definitely come back and sample it on another visit.

The Llandrindod Wells monster
Sep 2021
Walking around the lake one spies the Welsh version of the Loch Ness monster. Why? A variety of waterfowl on the lake. All the way round the lake there was a mother on her phone to her sister about a family argument. She was virtually ignoring her young daughter, except shouting negative remarks at her…don’t do this, don’t do that, don’t step her, don’t step there. What a way to treat a child whilst taking them on a walk…. virtually ignoring them, little encouragement, not pointing out the swans etc.

A real hidden gem that is definitely worth a visit

What a lovely little park/lake! They have pedal boats in the shape of dragons (£10 for 30 mins, £18 for 60 mins) which are great value as well other water based activities that can be hired (paddleboards, kayaks/canoes). There is also play parks, grass areas for picnics and mini golf. The staff were all really young but ultra friendly, the cost of items in the shop and ice creams were very good value and entry to the park and parking is free! What's not to like!!!! An absolute 'must visit' if you are in the area and have half a day spare.

Fun kayak hire, tasty ice creams and friendly atmosphere
Aug 2021
Our boys had great fun on the lake for an hour in their hired kayaks and the boathouse staff were lovely and friendly. It was great to stroll around the lake and we also enjoyed delicious ice creams from the shop. There is a lovely atmosphere at the lake and nearby parks; a great place to while away an hour or two.

Lovely place to spend a few hours especially when it is sunny!
May 2021 • Friends
A really nice place to visit for a few hours. Maybe we are a bit biased by the lovely sunny weather but the swans, cygnets ducks and Canada Greece were all great to see. A nice 15 minute walk around the lake followed bye ice cream and drinks at the friendly café. What’s not to like?

day out
Sep 2020
We had a wonderful day out here with family, the people in the gift shop were very helpful indeed and the boatman was helpful too.A fantastic place well kept and safe. The only problem we had was with one lady who was a local who had two spanials off the lead who bounded towards my Autistic Grandson,we asked her to put the dogs on leads and she said she lives there and if we didnt like it go elsewhere.

I walked all round this small beautiful lake with lots of Birdlife, a "nessie" fountain and when I came back to the cafe there was a man playing a harp, so I sat and enjoyed for a while
