I must confess that I hesitated at the entrance fee, £14 for the two of us. But my goodness I'm glad that I paid up. Once you find it this is one of the best gardens that we have ever visited. The variety of 'rooms'...More

We’re regular visitors to RHS gardens & stately homes but this was something different. A pleasure to walk a (huge) private garden. Lots of fantastic views, unexpected treats and a fair bit of inspiration to take home. Wonderful ideas that show you don’t need Capability...More

Been here before, and this visit didn’t disappoint. Plenty of well organised areas and a combination of wild and country cottage type planting. We spent only an hour or so, but you could easily spend much longer and take a picnic.

We had a wonderful few hours wandering through the gardens. Each space, so well thought out and created to make us linger, be still and listen. Bees buzzed, a sound I have not heard for so long. Benches and chairs set throughout invited us to...More

Loved the uniqueness of this quirky garden. Forget manicured lawns and immaculate flower beds. This is lots of garden areas which take you on a journey down paths and gateways, through fields, copses, and around ponds. The gardens are well off the beaten track and...More

Came here on the first day of our Pembrokeshire holiday, wanting somewhere to just relax and unwind after a long and stressful trip. Garden is not huge, but it was big enough to keep us occupied for 3-4 hours; a great deal of thought and...More

Would have gained more stars but so many volunteers being told what to do and where that it felt a bit intrusive at times (my friend, an ex nurse said it was a bit like a ward sister on a busy ward!- we slunk away...More

We're sorry you felt your visit was worse as a result of work instructions for staff and volunteers, I'm guessing you came on a Wednesday which is our busy day for staff. Unfortunately this can't be helped, it is a working space like any other....More

What a lovely homely garden this is. Everywhere you turn the garden leads you into the surrounding countryside. Whilst the garden is small we still managed to spend 3 hours there. There are plenty of spots to sit and it would be rude not to...More
