Beautiful views worth the walk!
Jun 2021
A short sharp climb out of Barmouth, but well worth the effort. The vista is stunning, giving views across the estuary and up the valley to Cader Idris

Brilliant Views
Jun 2021
We drove up to the free parking area & just did the short version which is only 1 mile in length. The views across to the Cader Idris Ridge & down the Mawddach estuary IMO is one of the best in the UK for such little effort.

Great walk
Oct 2020
On a gorgeous day this is a gorgeous walk.... I think you need to do a bit of research prior - download the routes to your phone or similar as if you are not fully aware of where you expect to go you may not pick up on some of the intersections which could be a little better marked. That said this is an excellent walk - not too remote or dangerous to take the whole family out on it, not too easy and dull to not bother about. When you get to the panoramic point the views are awesome.....

Staggering views of fantastic scenery

A 35 minute walk gives an amazing view of the estuary looking inland with Cadir Idris dominating the skyline. A view to compare with any we have seen in the World..USA..South Africa ..Australia..not forgetting Scotland

Very easy access....with a bench the top

Best seat in town
Aug 2020
Well worth the trek up here, must be one of the best views around so can’t recommend it enough. Make sure you know how to get there though before you set off.

This is a spectacular walk

We set off from the town and did this amazing walk. Quite steep In places but you can park near the start and it’s fairly easy. Once you get to the viewing spots it’s amazing. This is a must if you are in Barmouth

Beautiful views!
Jan 2020
The views at the top are wonderful! Would like to return in the summer with a picnic! We included the panorama in a longer walk up over the ridge. We were rewarded with so many interesting things to look at and incredible views. Lots of potential for rock climbing and abseiling.

Wonderful scenery
Jul 2019 • Family
Have had the pleasure of this walk in every season.
It is suitable for every ability apart from rainy days when those unsteady or frail may slip as by one gateway can be very muddy.
The views are breathtakingly Beautiful and we’ll worth the 40 mins or so round trip from the lay-by to see . I recommend this walk to anyone , it should not be missed.
