We always saw Maho Beach on videos or pictures. As my son has been a plane spotter since he was about six, it was always a dream to visit and experience the feeling of jets preparing for landing literally above your head. So when we...More

Such a wonderful day to spend the day. Beautifully clear water, white sand, and weather to die for. Loved this trip. The planes flying just over the beach were something to see.

The island is still suffering from the hurricane damage and damaged and destroyed boats are still stacked up along the coast. Traffic to the beach is horrible. Expect to sit in stalled traffic for quite a while. Very limited parking in beach area so you...More

Just like you see on the TV, aircraft landing over the heads of daring tourists on the beach. Well worth a look, although the beach along the coast was far more restful.

As far as scenery and people-watching this beach is very good. Waves tend to be a bit rough though. The planes come down for landing over this beach. This is where all photo enthusiasts go to get the low-flying aircraft coming in for a landing...More

Great beach with a unique scenery of watching planes take off and land right over your head. Visited while on a trip to St Martin on a cruise.

Went to this beach as my husband is obsessed with planes and this is somewhere he wanted to go. We took our 18 month old and he loved watching the planes coming down and being able to play in the water and sand! It’s a...More

We went here for a few hours to watch the planes taking off and landing. The sea was gorgeous, only downside is it’s quite steep getting in and out as it drops quickly which you can’t see very well. Sun beds were pretty pricey but...More

This was a place on hubby’s bucket and we can check it off. We saw three small planes land - they were small but they were planes! The beach area is small and crowded but beautiful.

This was a nice beach with food and drink available. Also, you could rent chairs and umbrellas, which we did. Our cab driver knew exacty where to take us and it was fun watching the planes come in and tae off.

We were there when there had only been a few ships in after reopening the port. The taxi rid was fine. Traffic was busy but not bad. Took about 30 to 40 min to return at about 2 o'clock.

Maho Beach is the classic. The planes come onto the runway for landing and they are right above you. PLEASE read the SAFETY SIGNS. Probably a 20 minute ride by cab.
