This place was awful. First off, there is about 20 feet from the beach to the street. It is packed. We saw a group of locals fist fighting in the street, that spilled over into the beach area. Just what I want to watch on...More

Maho Beach is significantly smaller than you'd expect, and can get crowded. That aside, it is a lot of fun watching planes take off and land, especially the larger jets. The bars close by are reasonably prices. The surf can be very rough, so be...More

Fabulous beach with great swimming food and beer. Fine time watching the planes come in. Walked the beach from the Atrium on Simpson Bay to Maho beach. Two hour walk and it was worth it.

This is a beach to be experienced because of the planes taking off and landing. And in between, you can enjoy the sun, sand and water. The only draw back is it can get very crowded.

It was great to see the planes land, however it was a little crowded. My guess is two cruise ships came in.

This beach is a small strip of sand at the end of the runway. I refer to as idiot's beach because of the people "Tourist", who go there to hang on the fence as the jets are taking off. The airport has a short runway...More

Maho beach, also named as AIRPLANE Beach, was one of the most incredible places I have ever visited. Whether you in the water, laying on the beach, or in the restaurant, the sights are breath taking! To be able to sit there and have planes...More

As usual, spent few hours on the beach before my flight back. Good music and food in the bars nearby. Fun watching tourists taking selfies with airplane and the beach on the background. It seems to me SXM again is ready for tourists to entertain...

I guess you need to talk to your driver if you booked round trip transportation. If you booked one way there are plenty of taxis at the beach that will take you back to the ship whenever you are ready to leave.
