Very informative and friendly staff. The gardens were superb with plants well labelled. Loved the woodland area with bird hide and feeders. Red squirrels, nuthatch, woodpeckers to name a few. Restaurant looked very smart, but we had a picnic to eat. Well stocked gift shop.

Threave Garden has some nice grounds with a nice coffee shop. Overall, I found the place a little bland, but if your in the area, its worth a visit.

My Partner grades scones throughout Scotland on a scale of one to ten. Today we visited Threave Gardens and we agreed their scones were a well deserved ten!

I commend the team of gardeners for keeping these large gardens so well. There are many interesting plants, good paths to walk around, some quiet hidden corners and a good cafe to finish off your visit.

A most attractive estate entrance to Threave Gardens (Scottish National Trust). Quaint but beautiful architecture. Modernised with oil-fired boiler, bathroom as well as a separate shower cubicle, squeezed under the stairs. Modern appliances, yet retains it's antiquity. Sitting & dining rooms. Well appointed & finished....More
