Always a joy to see the deer up close and in their own habitat. Great surrounding and a wonderful drive to get there.

We had a great time here! We brought carrots with us to feed the deer and they were quickly devoured! My 2 year old daughter loved feeding them, watching them walking around and listening to the stag shouting! 😂

We met the Red Deer yesterday with Ranger Hugh and it was a great experience. We learned so much and it was great to hand feed them, and overall it was a really fun and informative visit :-)

Take some carrots or chopped apple with you. If the deer are up the hill side, just hold the bag up and shake it, they'll soon come down! You can sit in the cabin and drop the window down to feed them, or stand outside...More

The hide is just a step from the car park. A group of red deer were just outside the windows, clearly expecting to be fed and others a short distance grazing on the hillside. Just outside the hide are small openings in the fencing where...More

Staying in the area for a few days and friendly staff at the local supermarket suggested the red deer range. Having been advised to take a bag of carrots, we were prepared, although still amazed by the appetite of one hungry stag who happily ate...More

Free to get in, the carpark for the red deer bit is also free but if you visit the visitor centre a bit further along then you pay about £3 for all day parking!
