Very memorable experience

We had a really fantastic time here. No children with us but can see why children love it. Beautiful location and a warm welcome from the animal - loving owners. We visited a while ago but still talk about this place quite often. Wonderful close contact with a great selection of animals, and the eagle owl presented to us at the end had me in tears - the sheer wonder and beauty of him was overwhelming! What a privilege to be able to stroke an eagle owl. Fantastic memories and would strongly recommend a visit to anyone who loves animals and birds.

Another visit to Monreith Anilmal World

This was our third visit - we try to visit every year with our grandchildren - now aged 5 & 3.
The owners continue to work very hard to keep going and you can't fault their enthiusiasm. They clearly love their animals and care for them very well. They are always very welcoming and interact well with children.
There is a baby alpaca due very soon.
New polecats this year too which were very entertaining to watch.
Please support Monreith Animal World if you are in the area - as others have said - don't be put off by the exterior - this is very much a personal venture.

Lovely little place
Jul 2019 • Family
Very small but well worth a stop if only for the donkey who acts as a door bell! All sorts of chickens, ducks, donkeys and creatures all in beautiful countryside and lovely owners. We particularly enjoyed watching the pole cats playing

we bring our grandchildren every year for a visit, and have been coming for the past 8 years, we are always warmly welcomed, and the lady who owns it, takes time to show you around, tells you about her animals, then you can wander around to look as long as you like. Its a small family run place, and deserves to have more people visit. Its a little bit of the beaten track, and I think that's why lots of people don't know about it. It is a good way for children to see the animals, as you can pet some of them, we always take carrots, as the donkeys and horses love them.

Gem of a place
Apr 2019 • Family
We visited with our 11-year old who had the best time petting horses, donkeys, rabbits, guinea pigs and dogs. There are loads of different hens and ducks and alpacas. The owners are very friendly - and interesting. The animals are well loved and well cared for. Fresh eggs are available from a little on site shop along with other crafts. Visit today for the three of us - two adults and one child - was £13 which was great value. Great time had by all with lovely walk around the pond on a beautiful spring day.

Fabulous place with the personal touch.

Despite a very drizzly day, this is a little gem of a place.
The owners are lovely and took myself and husband round to see their animals which are very much cared for, even though it was out of season.
Couldn't see all the farm as it was very muddy so will be back to get the full tour.

On a wet Monday morning , six year old daughter , 82 year old mother in law , we arrived !
Opened up for us , made all of us feel if we were family coming to visit . Amazingly interesting insight and discussion about all kinds of animals . Our daughter is usually really shy but had a great time and grew in confidence , nothing was to much trouble and the animals were all characters !!!

We came across this place out of chance. It was a delight from start to finish the 2 owners are a lovely couple and cannot do enough for you. They show you round personally, they are a couple who obviously love what they do. They left the hustle and bustle of a busy life to life their dream. They make beautiful paintings that are available to buy. You must visit and you get to meet the owl at the end which was my husbands favourite bit.

Lovely visit
Oct 2018 • Family
My 2 year old loves animals and had a great time exploring here. The owners are really friendly and showed us around. We particularly loved the baby alpaca and stroking the rabbits/horse/owl. An hour well spent. We probably would have stayed longer if it had been sunny as their are plenty of benches around.

Great place to visit!

I loved my trip here, the owners were lovely and so helpful at showing off the animals. A variety to see and a cross between a smallholding and an animal sanctuary. The craft shop was great to see all their homemade artist talents, a hidden gem that is definitely worth stopping off at.
