I am surprised at some of the other reviews - I found this place to be full of poor quality goods and cheap old furniture, more reminiscent of a bad car boot sale than anything you could call an "antiques centre". Spot the antiques!
The place was cold, disorganised, unkempt and dusty and looks as if no-one cares what it looks like.
Possibly the worst antique centre I have ever seen.

Will never set foot in this place again. Have visited here numerous times and always felt the guy behind the counter was a bit miseable, but today, he was on fire! The last straw for me I'm afraid.
I could hear him shouting out to customers rudely in the shop, asking them to move or make way. I wasn't one of them luckily. My encounter happened whilst paying.
I found a paper star that I took a fancy too it was cheap but I just liked it. My husband had 4 books which were quite expensive. He didn't see we were together. I popped the star on the counter and he said rudely and abruptly: "what's that?" I said it's a star. "Where did you get that from? Does it have a price on it?" I said yes it did, here if you look. He looked said £2.50 and walked off to the back room and left the young lad to serve me. My husband had now put the books down - now he really wanted these books, one was quite a rare find, so he carried on paying. I would have told the chap to stick his star where he sun doesn't shine had I had just the star. The poor young lad was embarrassed, I said to him and my husband that I'd best leave or there will be a scene! I walked out pretty peed off. My husband soon followed and said the original chap was "just like it" telling me he had spoken to the young lad as if he was something on the bottom of his shoe! I really wanted to go back and say something, my husband persuaded me not to.
As said, I will not go back here and I would not recommend it. To the young lad that works there, leave and get a job where you aren't embarrassed or belittled in public, you dont deserve that.
Why on earth this man owns a shop and advertises it for people to visit is bewildering. He should absolutely NOT be on the front desk serving or have anything to do with customers.
To the rude man, people spend money in your shop as I did. We don't want or deserve an experience like today. If you don't like your job, quit. You obviously hate people so why bother.

An Aladdins Cave. As with all of these places- yes there is some junk -but if you are prepared to rummage and know your onions there are some bargains to be found. Remember one man’s junk is another man’s treasure. I would thoroughly recommend a visit to this treasure trove.

Last time was experience was so awful I said never again. But I really needed a small gift which I thought they might have. I heard the man behind the counter being so rude to a customer- who asked a polite question- that I walked out. I think he’s got ruder. Such a bad advert for Church Stretton,

I’ve been going to this place for many years, however, it has gone downhill in more recent times. It’s been downsized, but worse still the guy behind the counter was extremely abrupt and needs to get some simple business etiquette or, he will lose this business customers.

Rude man behind the counter. Reluctantly gave a refund for a faulty item purchased day before. He needs to learn some manners. I won’t shop there again.

We have just changed the style of our kitchen and were looking for some brass wall hangings. No need to look further since we found everything we needed here at very reasonable prices.

If you love antiques and second hand "stuff", you'll enjoy browsing through the many 'lots' on offer here. With several floor levels to explore you can lose yourself and whoever is accompanying you! From old cutlery to cupboards, you'll find everything you need to set up home, there really is something for everyone. Also if you look to the left of the entrance door, before going inside, you'll find some garden "stuff", like chimney pots, slabs, urns and even a chicken pen (on the day we went). There's "stuff" that's already been upcycled by the vendors or you can buy something rough looking and upcycle it yourself. Or you can search for the real antiques. Do wear something comfortable on your feet and some warm clothing as its quite a cold building.

Several floors of antiques and collectables. Good range of items and there is something for any budget. Lots of nice old wooden tools, floors of furniture and I enjoyed a happy few hours browsing. (There's also a cafe on site if you are in need of a 'bored husband creche'...)

Are dogs allowed in the market?
Written February 7, 2019
No dogs allowed. We just took it in turns to go in or sit outside with the dogs and well worth it as it is a complete Aladdin’s cave!
