We booked on the last trip of the day (16:00), despite this our 'skipper' was enthusiastic as he informed us of some really remarkable facts! We saw a whole host of sea life, which yes some you could see in a rock pool, but you would not get the stunning views or excellent wildlife knowledge. I went with my 16... More

We went on the morning trip and were not disappointed. The scenery is amazing and the rain even held of too! Lots of seals to spot, different types of birds and the glass bottom allows you to see starfish, seaweed, crabs and jellyfish. Richard was extremely knowledgeable and really made the experience. All in all a must do when in... More

During the booking process Richard could not have been more helpful and polite - everyone was looking forward to our day out and despite the weather being miserable we all had an amazing time - definitely our favourite day of our Highlands holiday. The children (aged 11 & 8) loved the checklists and really enjoyed looking for all the creatures... More

Fascinating trip under cover where you can see the forests of seaweed (more amazing than it sounds) in the sea as well as plenty of crabs and star fish in their native habitat. Also cormorants/shags and herons. Learn a little about nature and why the tideline is black!

We took this cruise during a short visit to Gairloch in the full knowledge that were not going to be going out into the open Minch with the prospect of seeing whales and dolphins. (Anyone commenting on here of their disappointment on not seeing them did not read the brochure). Richard, our skipper, was very knowledgeable about the local wildlife... More

Took the trip on a beautiful day. Booking staff were very helpful and friendly. Kids were given a colourful and good quality checklist of wildlife and plants they might see which kept them busy on the trip. Captain was very knowledgable and entertaining. Got the opportunity to see a starfish, lobster and jellyfish up close! Children were allowed to have... More

We took a family trip with three young children in the pouring rain! Despite the poor visibility conditions we spotted lots of wildlife and the knowledgeable skipper was great with the kids. One of the highlights for the kids was getting to steer the boat back to the harbour! This trip is definitely worth every penny and our kids will... More

Fabulous boat trip round Gairloch harbour and Sheildaig with an incredibly knowledgable and friendly guide. My partner, 2 year old daughter and 6 other family members had an unforgettable afternoon trip. 3 youngsters on board and they are still going on about how much they enjoyed it! When we visited, the algae bloom in Gairloch meant water visibility was poor... More

We were fortunate to have calm, pleasant weather for this trip on the glass bottomed boat which lasted around an hour and a half. The views of the loch and surrounding scenery were superb and it was good to see Gairloch itself from the water. The boat is well organised with viewing windows for each person down on to the... we (the grandparents) enjoyed this trip as much as the grandchildren did! The Captain is very informative both for adults and children. He was very good with the children even letting them steer the boat! It is the second time we have done this trip and wouldn't hesitate to do it again.
