Exactly what you would expect from a craft beer bar. Friendly, knowledgable staff who make customers feel welcome from the get-go. Wide range of good quality beers and a nice, bright bar. Well done!

A marvellous range of exciting and varied beers. A place where one could sit and chat without loud music or televisions spoiling the atmosphere. And unusually the place was heaving with people all enjoying themselves. The place has soul. A place to drink fine beer, chat and enjoy the simple pleasures. A welcome change.

Visited with my Family for my Niece's 14th Birthday, having a drink before our meal at 6pm. Couldn't believe what we were told on arrival, No under 18s. BUT - inside clearly was a toddler of about 1years. We asked the guy behind the bar if we could come in as we had noticed the toddler, he said No. on popping inside for the ladies, the said toddler was creating and squealing which I can certainly say my 14 year old does not do. Please if a rule is there, make it the same rule for all. Not impressed.

I walked in with my wife and her girlfriend and the whole place stopped to stare at us, no welcome there! Is this a private club!
The overwhelming smell of disinfectant was the one that attacked the noise, not Ale. Clearly the hippy bar staff had cleaned up some bad ale or vomit but had forgotten to open a window.
So with the non-welcome and bad smell we asked for some tasters of Ale, but the selection was poorly served (flat and stale) and with that we left. I left the Ales unfinished, will never recommend that to anyone. There are plenty of great places in the village to have a great beer in a friendly atmosphere.

I'm sorry to read that you found Beer House uninviting, we try to create an atmosphere where everyone is welcome. Did the bar staff not even say Hello? I can only imagine that people looked at you to see if they knew you, Harborough is a small town, as you point out yourself. You are not the first to say about the disinfectant smell and we have changed the floor gel we use! Cleanliness is important to us, I would rather you could smell disinfectant than stick to stale beer. The service of flat, stale ale is a concern. Our beers are served directly from the barrel ensuring there are no lines for it to sit in and become stale. I hope you advised a member of staff at the time of your visit and gave them the chance to change your drinks? Feedback is always gratefully received as we strive to create a friendly place, where you can drink great beer that you won't find anywhere else in Town

Stumbled upon this place whilst sailing through MH with three dear sisters. We initially sat outside and felt very at home with the friendly locals. We moved inside and tried several lovely ales and ciders. The staff were funny engaging and even came over for a chat when we asked what certain acronyms on the beer menu mean. The customers in there were really welcoming and the bar is dog friendly. The men’s bathroom is pretty funky with walls festooned with beer mats and pump name plates. The bar has a unique atmosphere and it feels like somewhere where you can relax and let your hair down. We’ll definitely.be back.

The lads behind the bar are knowledgeable and the quality of the beer is the result. Always a wide selection of beers on tap along with craft beers and drinks for the ladies. Various events held including vinyl nights and live music. A definite must for all real ale drinkers.

Yeay! We hope you always do stop off when in Harborough! We try and provide a beer festival style ambience so you can always try something new in our converted bathroom tile shop, behind a chip shop, in a car park, unique building!

Like a pub used to be and should be. A friend and I went on one of their monthly comedy nights and to visit with family locally. I really wish I lived closer. The beer and atmosphere were both something special. Great night. Well worth going out of your way for.

This is a specialist. The number of beers kept is almost unbelievable. Ten barrels on stillage and constantly changing. The range of A.B.V. can be as high as six per cent and the flavours and types are accurately described on a chalk board. As well as draft spare a moment or two to read through the bottled menu as well. Don`t miss the Ciders! (on a separate board.) Another factor to be taken into account is the fact that you can take your own food in. They don`t do food them selves. Not open Tues. and Weds. Monday. Evening only.
