In the town centre this is a lovely place to visit and bro has local history to life. Perfect for kids holidays, rainy day or for the curious mind.

Visited the museum to get out of the rain and it was worth the visit. The museum has been updated to include an archeological section with displays of coins, Roman helmets, and bones which was well done with the actual artifacts, as well as videos....More

A very good collection, the roman hoard and lots of memorabilia. Well worth a visit. The cafe downstairs is good too.

I have been here a few times with my children. They always have colouring and dressing up. It is a small museum but worth a visit and attached to the library so we will often go to both places.
