We visited this beach on a cold day when there was a strong north-easterly wind blowing. Consequently, it was too cold to really enjoy what is obviously a nice beach. On a lovely, sunny, summer's day, this is probably a glorious place to just sit...More

Level, wide and with beautiful sea views. About 2 miles from the town centre and back if you head towards the docks, majestic in the early morning sun.

Visited with my daughter and grandaughter. Im an amateur photographer and really enjoyed taking pictures of the lighthouses. Clean tidy place and also loved the beach huts. My grandaughter enjoyed collecting shells on the beach. Would go again.

A Napoleon Fort with wartime antique displays. A must visit that is highly recommended for all ages. Unfortunately dissatisfied access is for upper level only, but still very informative.

Lovely beach, mixture of sand and shingle. Safe place for kids to play as the water is very shallow. Water is clean but muddy, it has has a blue flag for water quality for many years. Close to cafes and skating rink, toilets nearby too.
