Unfortunately there are now large areas of pebbles covering the once sandy beach. However, they come and go with the tide/stormy weather. Dog free / Blue Flag section. Excellent cafe and toilet facilities at each end. South facing beach with adequate free road parking and inexpensive car park.

We had some time to kill, so we decided to stop by, following the parking for the award beach. I'm not sure what the award beach referred to, as we didn't see much of a beach in the section we explored. The colourful beach huts were fun to look at. We found a good playground just off the promenade. I... More

The beach and sea has a blue flag rating ,which means it has has a clean bill of health ,there is free parking on road ,and a cafe and bar_ resaurant (the waterfront)nearby. The sea is tidal and goes out a long way ,it also covers the beach at high tide

Spent 4 glorious sunny days on the beach near the blue flag beach cafe and public toilets - great with a grandad and grandson in the party! Couldn't believe that we could park along the road parallel to the beach - unheard of but most welcome. Walked along the beach in the afternoon and did crabbing - grandson was very... More

Nice place for a day out, beaches are clean but small. A good few cafe and restaurants around, boating lake, swings, putting green, skating rink, large area to play football etc. Skate board park. Lots of activities. Beach huts, toilets. All within a small area so good for children.

The beach is mostly sand, and the sea not too rough. When tired youngsters can sit and watch the ships going... More
