When we entered the gardens there was a wedding photo session going on . We were not surprised at all it's beautiful. The hedges are cut to create maze, and other displays. The gardeners are really clever and worked very hard. Staff friendly and welcoming...More

Awesomely awesome gardens. Very well kept indeed. The orchard garden is excellent with dozens of ancient fruit stock trees. Pears, apples, cooking apples, plums, rubarb, etc.etc. Truly worth a visit.

This garden is tucked away and a joy to visit. It is made of different rooms and very well kept. A lovely place to read a book in peace and quiet

Take a fabulous trip down the walled gardens and divine layouts. I would have gave it a 5* rating, but it easy to get lost, not enough signs!

Really tranquil gardens, beautifully maintained , and such a lovely quiet place to sit and reflect amidst this busy world. Think it could be better signed as its a bit of a walk from the main square.

These gardens are a delight and not to be missed if you are visiting Saffron Walden. They are more our less in the centre of town and very well tended for.

All time local favourite, make sure you check the hours when the maze is open or be disappointed. The lower gardens on two levels are also outstanding and my children never tire of the best hide and seek experiences to be had. If the weather...More

Yes, a lot of people walk their dogs in the gardens and in the park next door. ISTR there are some taps for watering the gardens from which you could get water for dogs too.
