Having lived in Devon for many years this motor museum has only recently been brought to my attention. We arrived there and were greeted by the owner Frank who gave us a brief introduction to the museum and its exhibits. We then looked at the exhibits and were very surprised at the quality and quantity. The vehicles, motorcycles and other exhibits are very well displayed and described. This a wonderful museum and as cars have always been part of my life I will return here.

Well what can't you say about this wonderful place. If you have any interest whatsoever in Britains motoring past then this is the place you must visit, and soon. The owner is retiring shortly and this excellent collection may become separated. I must say it is the best collection of my everyday motoring past that I've ever seen, and I live close to one of Britain's so called best. I grew up with all these vehicles in everyday life.
This collection has been built up by just one man who welcomes you and even introduces you personally to the museum. Its the best £10.00 you'll ever spend in Devon, why because if you are like me at 70+ you will become absorbed into the very collection itself. Enjoy!

We were very disappointed with our visit, as although there were numerous exhibits, the quality of some was poor and one or two mediocre. The exceptions were the Mk2 Jaguar and the XK150 Jaguar, which very very good. The price of the tickets (£10 per adult) was very high for what was on offer.

We travelled up from the far West of Cornwall specially to visit this motor museum. We were not disappointed and saw many of the cars & motorcycles that I grew up with and many similar to those that I have owned ! The owners preamble to our walk around the museum was very interesting and informative. It will be a real shame if, as is claimed, this museum closes but, as they say, all good things must come to an end ! Our thanks to the owner for a very enjoyable 2 & a half hours.

Places like this need supporting as when they are gone they are gone. Only found this museum as we passed it on the way to our hotel. Owned and run by a genuinely nice man whose name is Frank and who owns all the exhibits. An amazing collection of old cars and motorbikes which both look and smell incredible. Took me back to simpler times that no longer exist. If you are in the area take time to visit this tardis. £7 entrance fee is worth it for what you are helping to preserve.

A really great museum any car enthusiast would love. Even if you are not mad about cars you woukd still love this museum and its amazing collection. Frank the owner is brilliant and was great passing on his knowledge and love for the cars. The toys were a lovely trip down memory lane. I was accompanied by two teenage boys on this visit who showed the most interest in anything on the whole holiday. You must go it is so worth it

We spent a couple of hours here on our trip to Dartmoor. The museum is easy to find and well run. With Covid19 restrictions you cannot touch the cars, but you are safely guided on a one way route through the cars. Well worth a visit if you like British motoring history.

A very much undiscovered little gem. The owner is a really nice chap and gave us an unrushed, highly detailed history of the cars. The cars and motorbikes were in a fantastic condition and nicely presented.
I would thoroughly recommend a visit to this delightful museum .

What a fantastic collection of vehicles. Super cars, and motorcycles all in very good condition. The initial talk was interesting, and informative. We went with our daughter and her 2 daughters, and we thought they would be bored, but they really enjoyed it.

Really enjoyed this car & motorcycle museum. Loved the fact that it was a private collector and it was a relaxed atmosphere. The lady who works Wednesdays was friendly, knowledgeable and very welcoming. These places need to be supported, so if you are in Moretonhampstead, please go and check this place out.

Are both floors accessible for wheelchair users please
Written May 30, 2018
There is a wheelchair lift I believe. But sadly there is limited space to get a wheelchair near to all the cars.

Does it have a cafe and toilets?
Written March 23, 2018
No, but there are three cafe's and toilets within sight. Moretonhampstead is very compact. There are also three food pubs also within the town and a few hundred paces.
